KeymasterYeah, please use a generic message. The alternative is to individually send emails to each member which will unnecessarily take a toll on your server if you have a few thousand members for example (I don’t think it is that big of a deal to not have the member’s name in an auto upgrade notification email).

KeymasterDid you enter the URL in the browser and verified that the URL is valid? If you know that the URL is correct then you can ignore that error message (it will not harm your site). It is just checking to see if the URL is correct or not but obviously something on your server is blocking the method used to perform the URL validation check. Which is why it is showing that error. Your users won’t see that error (it is only for the admin).

KeymasterIdeally you want to have one entry point to your site if you are using both eMember and the affiliate plugin and bundling them up. Check the “Do Not Allow Visitors to Signup” checkbox in the affiliate settings menu which will make it to where a user won’t be able to go to the affiliate’s registration page and sign up. Simply instruct your users to become a member from your “Join Us” page and they will also get an affiliate account in the process.

KeymasterYou should not have any issue then. If you have 110MB RAM and your files are under 5MB (as long as some other application running on the server is not taking up the space.. WordPress itself takes about 30MB of RAM). What version of PDF stamper and the eStore plugin are you using?
January 20, 2012 at 1:19 pm in reply to: How to "Generate an Encrypted download link for a Product' using PDF Stamper #40917admin
KeymasterYou can do a 2 step process right now.
1. Manual stamp the PDF file with whatever content you want (the customer’s name and email address for example)
2. Create a temporary eStore product and use the URL of the stamped PDF file created in step 1.
3. Generate an encrypted link for the product you created in step 2. You can give this encrypted link to your customers.
You can also keep this product you created in step 2 in case you want to do the same thing in the future… you will just have to change the value in the “Digital Product URL” field of that product before you generate an encrypted link.

KeymasterAn ability to save the cart could be an alternative but we don’t have a save cart feature in eStore just yet. How long do you need the cart to stay? Are we talking hours or days or weeks?

KeymasterI have sent you an email so I can get details and check it out.
January 20, 2012 at 5:29 am in reply to: How to Create a Password Protected Download Digital Product Page #40984admin
KeymasterPassword protecting a page means you need to maintain a “members list” who will have access to that page (the rest of the world won’t have access). Basically, you need a way to differentiate the users who have access to that page or not. Standard eCommerce plugin doesn’t handle this “Member/User Management” part. This is the task of a Membership plugin. WP eStore doesn’t do member/user management so eStore alone won’t be able to do what you are after. If you keep looking I am sure you will find an eCommerce plugin that has a membership functionality built into it. In our case we separated it out and made it a different plugin (WP eMember). This approach lets us make a robust membership management plugin.

KeymasterYes, but it may prove to be challenging. You might be better off find a solution that uses the payment gateway that you want to use.

KeymasterYou posted this in the “Simple Shopping Cart” plugin section. However, the questions seem like they are for the WP eStore plugin. Could you please verify which plugin this question is for?
