Hey Guys,
First off let me say that I’m thoroughly impressed with this plugin. I initially purchased Wishlistmember, but I’ve found eMember to be far superior.
I just have a quick question as regards Auto Upgrade: my members do not seem to be receiving the Account Upgrade Notification email when there account is auto upgraded. Is this a problem, or is there a setting I’ve missed to make this happen?
For me this is really important, as my users need to know they have been upgraded from a “pending” membership level to an “approved” level. I searched the forums but could not find any information on this subject.

We are in the process of adding an option in the plugin to notify the members via email when their account gets auto upgraded. Thanks.

Hi Admin!
I’ve uploaded a new build of the plugin and selected the checkbox to “Enable Automatic Upgrade Email Notification.” However, my test members have not received the email when auto-upgraded. Is there another setting I’m missing?
Unless, perhaps, the upgrade notification emails only go out once per day, and the email just hasn’t gone out for the members upgraded today?
Yes, the task that does the auto upgrade and sends the notification email executes once per day (this is to make sure the background task doesn’t keep your server busy).
That makes sense.
Unfortunately our initial test member still did not receive the upgrade notification email at any time yesterday. However, we are testing another member whose account should be upgraded today, and I will keep you posted.

These are members created via Remote POST – would that be a problem?

Okay will do. Just to verify… you did save the email settings after you updated the plugin right? The new email messages for this feature are in the email settings menu.
Hmmm…I only realized that there was a new email setting for auto-upgrade yesterday. So I’m not 100% sure that a member has been auto-upgraded since I modified this template and re-saved the email settings. I will wait to see what happens today before bothering you guys again with my site long details, etc.
