    Hi,

I would like to let Members (logged in with eMembers) become Affiliates and I already use the option that automaticly create their Affiliate account.

Now I would like to let visitors (who are not Members yet) see the Affiliate Account page but not allow them to become only Affiliate without being Member too. Yesterday, one of my clients created an Affiliate account directly but didn’t understand why he couldn’t log in the pages for Members.

In the WP Affiliate settings, there’s this option :

“Do Not Allow Visitors to Signup:

Check this box if you don’t want to allow your visitors to be able to sign up as an affiliate. If you want to selectively create accounts for your affiliates from the admin dashboard then check this option.”

I don’t really know how to use it : can the logged-in Members continue to have an automaticly-created Affiliate Account if this option is checked ?

The best for me would be to let visitors feel free to create an account where they want : on an eMember registration page or on the Affiliate Account page, and to automaticly synchronise the both (a visitor creating an Affiliate account would have an eMember account too). Is it possible ?

    Thanks a lot.

Ideally you want to have one entry point to your site if you are using both eMember and the affiliate plugin and bundling them up. Check the “Do Not Allow Visitors to Signup” checkbox in the affiliate settings menu which will make it to where a user won’t be able to go to the affiliate’s registration page and sign up. Simply instruct your users to become a member from your “Join Us” page and they will also get an affiliate account in the process.

That means you have enabled the following option in the affiliate plugin settings:

WP Affiliate -> Settings -> Do Not Allow Visitors to Signup

Uncheck that option if you don’t want it.

That option is disabled by default so you must have enabled it in the past.
