October 11, 2013 at 11:04 pm in reply to: eStore – Blank IPN Debug and Paypal Shows 404 Error for Transaction #58302
wpCommerce
ModeratorHi, for some reason your server is preventing the
paypal.phpfile from executing. If you go to [http://80-20educationalfoundation.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-cart-for-digital-products/paypal.php] you will see that your server redirects it to a 404 page [http://80-20educationalfoundation.com/page_not_found.php]. This is why PayPal is not being able to post ipn data to the URL above.Try the following solution:
Go to
WP eStore -> Settings -> Advanced Settingsand enableAlternate Redirection Method.October 9, 2013 at 11:45 pm in reply to: eStore – unable to add or edit products after reinstalling #58263wpCommerce
ModeratorHi, probably the downloaded file was corrupted or the upgrade process didn’t occur. please deactivate and delete the current version. Now install a fresh copy of the plugin (Using the WordPress Plugin Uploader) and activate it: https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/re-install-or-load-a-fresh-build-of-the-plugins
Let me know how it goes.
October 9, 2013 at 10:41 pm in reply to: eStore – Unable to Log Into PayPal to Complete Pay Transaction #58253wpCommerce
ModeratorHi, I was able to login but I didn’t agree to pay. Have you contacted PayPal about this issue?
Usually, if you have an issue that happens on PayPal’s site when you try to log into the PayPal account, it indicates an issue with your PayPal account. Contacting PayPal support and requesting them to take a look at your account is the quickest way to get it fixed.

ModeratorHi, eMember doesn’t have any built-in ticket system at the moment. However, you might be able to achieve something similar by integrating eMember with bbPress forum plugin: http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wordpress-membership/wp-emember-and-bbpress-forum-plugin-integration-644
October 8, 2013 at 11:12 pm in reply to: eStore / eMember – membership becomes inactive after second payment goes through #49454wpCommerce
ModeratorHi, I think it’s better to set up a “Buy Now” type button (one-time payment) for a lifetime membership. That way the user will pay for the membership once and get full access to it. Simply create a membership level with a “No expiry” option. Then use a buy now button (one time payment) to give access to that level.
Recurring payments and lifetime membership usually doesn’t make sense together. Subscription payment is usually used when you want to charge XX amount every YY number of days to give access to the membership. When they cancel the ongoing subscription, the membership account also gets blocked/expired.

October 8, 2013 at 12:43 am in reply to: eStore product list only (not fancy) – clickable link to Thumbnail Target URL? #58149wpCommerce
ModeratorHi, we have updated the extra shortcode plugin to achieve something similar to what you are asking. Please do the following:
1. Install a fresh copy of the extra shortcode plugin: http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/ecommerce/wp-estore-shortcodes-and-functions-reference-460
2. Display products from a particular category using fancy 9 display. For example:
[wp_eStore_category_products_fancy id=1 style=9]See the extra shortcode guide for more information: http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/ecommerce/wp-content/uploads/extra-eStore-shortcodes.pdf
3. Share the URL to the page where you are using the shortcode. Then I will check the page and provide further instructions on how you can show each product as a text link.

ModeratorHi, when you enable PDT with auto return on your PayPal account it will apply to all the checkout transactions (not just the eStore ones). But you shouldn’t be having any issue with it.
However, if you do want to return your users to a different “Thank you” page for other checkout methods (without eStore) you should specify a different Return URL on your PayPal account.

ModeratorHi, Your users shouldn’t choose the recurring billing count on the front end. That’s not how a subscription system usually works. For example, if you went to an established site out there that charges subscription, you will see that they give you a choice of 3-4 different options. As a visitor/customer, you click on the button that represents the option that you want.
This is how you do it when creating eStore products. You can create different products with different terms and users will select which one they want to subscribe to. For example:
a) Create a product with Recurring Billing Count of 3
b) Create a product with Recurring Billing Count of 6
c) Create a product with Recurring Billing Count of 9
d) Create a product with Recurring Billing Count of 12
Now embed a subscription button for each of the products you configured. A user will only be charged initially when they click the “Subscription” button and accepts the terms and conditions on the PayPal payment page. The user will be charged onward based on the terms they accepted (example: $5.00 for each month, for 3 installments) until they cancel the subscription or it expires.
