Lightbox Ultimate – Video completely downloads before playing

Hi,

I’ve just installed the Ultimate version of the plug (had been using the free version). And trying to address one problem lead to another.

First,

I tried to serve up an MP4 file using the MP4 short code and the entire video (which is quite large) downloads before it will play. The video really need to play as it loads since it is such a large file.

The default WP embedded player ‘streams’ the video with no problem.

Second,

So I thought I would ditch flowplayer and try the HTML5 shortcode.

If I uncheck Flowplayer I get a red warning saying flowplayer is unchecked (seems a bit crazy)

If I uncheck HTML45 I get a red warning saying HTML5 is unchecked (seems fair)

Problem A)

When I use the MP4 shortcode and have both checkboxes checked it still uses flowplayer

Problem

When I use the HTML5 shortcode and have both checkboxes checked, nothing seems to happen. I click and click and my URL changes to an anchor link, but nothing loads.

Would really like to get this work correctly, can you provide any guidance?

Testing on Mac Chrome/Safari (OS 10.6.. WordPress 3.6.1
