I’d like to sell access to specific pages but can’t figure out how to “lock” the page so that only a purchaser can access it.
For example, a page with a series of videos. I’d like only a purchaser to be able to view those pages and send him the link to that page in the email / thank you page.
How can I do it?
Thanks!
October 12, 2010 at 12:26 am #25271wpCommerceModeratorSelling access (membership model) is usually controlled by a membership plugin. eStore has a Pay Per View option which might be helpful in your situation.
Do you want a customer to be able to view those videos once for every payment or lifetime for one payment?
1. If you use the pay per view feature of eStore your customers will be able to view the video everytime they make a payment. Please follow the link below to watch the video tutorial on how to setup pay per view content –
Sell Pay Per View – Setting Up Pay Per View Option Using WP eStore Plugin
2. You can restrict a specific page containing those videos with WP eMember also. When anyone purchases a membership (which has access to view that page) he/she will be able to view those videos for as long as they stay a member.
October 7, 2013 at 2:04 pm #25272george@lvvMemberThe reply to one question above is incomplete and confusing.
The question is:
“Do you want a customer to be able to view those videos once for every payment or lifetime for one payment?”
Answer #1 says:
“1. If you use the pay per view feature of eStore your customers will be able to view the video every time they make a payment. Please follow the link below to watch the video tutorial on how to setup pay per view content.”
Notice what Answer #1 says – and doesn’t say:
“your customers will be able to view the video every time they make a payment.”
This does not completely answer what the original question asks:
“for every payment or lifetime for one payment”. <<< notice “or lifetime for one payment”
What if I want to sell pay per view video so customers are able to view videos for “lifetime for one payment”.
Does “lifetime for one payment” mean viewing more than “once for every payment”, or not? Please clarify. Thank you.
