We don’t recommend anyone to use the lightbox special shortcode anymore (it’s been deprecated for a long time). You can either use the flowplayer shortcode or the “All browser compatible” shortcode to play a mp4 video (they are also compatible with iOS devices). Shortcodes are available in the shortcode reference guide:

Alternatively, you can also insert a shortcode using the “Shortcode Inserter” (it’s a TinyMCE button in the Visual Editor).

There are three versions of the jQuery library on the same page.

Unfortunately, you will have to get rid of the first 2 (they are hardcoded). WordPress has a proper API to include the jQuery library so that it doesn’t conflict when multiple plugins are installed. You can learn more about it here:

At this point if you install any other WordPress plugin which uses jQuery it’s just going to stop functioning totally (Even if you deactivate Lightbox Ultimate).

Hi, After the 14.0.1 release Firefox now shows error for using HTML5 compatible “video” embed code, which is why we don’t recommend anyone to use the HTML5 shortcode anymore. I think it’s better if you just use the flowplayer shortcode or the “All browser compatible” shortcode for now (both of them are iOS compatible).

I have tried your video on four major browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Safari, IE). I haven’t seen any issue. However, I couldn’t play your video on iPad. I have also manually embedded one of your videos (The one you are using under the title “Flowplayer video”) on my test site using the HTML5 video tag (without any player). For example:

It displayed the same behaviour. So I believe it’s not the player. iPad just can’t play the video.

I think if you just encode the vidoe to H264 format it will be playable.

Hi, You really don’t have to host your videos on S3 to play using lightbox ultimate. You can host your videos anywhere. All you need to do is just specify the full URL in the shortcode.

“200 stream not found” – it usually happens when the player can’t find the media file or the URL is invalid.

But I can’t look at this issue unless you create the same environment on a live server.

Hi, Verotel confirmed that there is a 100 characters limitation on the description field. So we added a fix for this in the plugin. Please do the following:

1. Deactivate and delete the currently installed version of the plugin(s).

2. Download a fresh build of the plugin(s) from here:

3. Upload and activate this version of the plugin(s).

Actually I don’t have any idea either. It’s kind of weird that it creates 2 boxes for a simple HTML link. Try contacting the theme developer to see if they can help you with it.

Hi, Can you please create three anchor texts without using any lightbox ultimate shortcode? For example: COCKTAILS, FOOD, HAPPY HOUR. You can easily turn them into links from the Visual editor.

Simply replace the current menu with these 3 anchor texts (also try to arrange them in the same order they are right now). That way we will know what’s actually happening.

Hi, looks like the deeplinking option only works with rel="prettyPhoto". We don’t use the default rel because it might conflict with other plugins. We will see what we can do.

“200, Stream not found” – this error usually happens when the player can’t find the the media file or the URL is invalid.

Please also make sure that your videos are properly encoded.
