Trying to play a video file hosted locally (not Amazon S3) with appropriate wp_lightbox_flowplayer_anchor_text_video shortcode and getting the Stream Not Found error. Is it required to use Amazon S3 to stream a video?
Hi, You really don’t have to host your videos on S3 to play using lightbox ultimate. You can host your videos anywhere. All you need to do is just specify the full URL in the shortcode.
“200 stream not found” – it usually happens when the player can’t find the media file or the URL is invalid.
But I can’t look at this issue unless you create the same environment on a live server.
It is on a live server. You can see the test page here:http://www.abw.org/video/
And here is the shortcode from the page:
[wp_lightbox_flowplayer_anchor_text_video link=”http://www.abw.com/wp-content/uploads/video/113.240p.flv” width=”800″ height=”450″ text=”Introduction” description=”Introduction”]
I am able to play the video using another plugin but it doesn’t do a lightbox, it just plays it in the page.
This is the url you are using in the shortcode:http://www.abw.com/wp-content/uploads/video/113.240p.flv
But when I directly copy and paste the URL into the address bar I got an error – “The page cannot be found”.
Boy do I feel like an idiot. It works fine when I get the domain right – .ORG not .COM
Thanks for helping!
