Also, make sure that your them is showing the shopping cart in the homepage. Some themes show different layout for the different pages (for example: homepage can have a different layout than a normal wp page).
Keep in mind that your theme can have some options that we won’t have any idea about. We don’t do anything called a “Shop sidebar”. That is something most likely coming from your theme or another plugin. You can do the following test to find out what is coming from where:

If you check the profile of a member from the “Members” menu in the admin dashboard, do you see a membership level value for the user?
