I’m using WP eMember v10.1.2
My client said a visitor friend tried to sign up for membership, but did not receive the “final email verification” (I assume she means the email stating their new membership is complete).
In addition, my client says the visitor is not showing up as a new member in the member list.
The membership sign up page on the client’s website is:
https://artedco.org/registration/Is there a way to see if the verification emails are being sent but are possibly going to the recipient’s spam folder? Is there a way to avoid going into the spam folder?

If you have the debug logs turned on, you can verify the email was actually sent. After that, it is up to the recipient to actually check their spam folder.
November 20, 2020 at 4:47 pm #82022silvert_eMParticipantI tested the site a couple of times just now, signing up using different names and email addresses. I provided my first name, last name, email address, did reCAPTCHA and clicked “Send Verification Email”.
I checked the eMember member list, and found my new member ID was created.
However, I never received the verification email. Not in my incoming box. Not in my spam box. In the admin, I checked the debug file and got this report:
[11/20/2020 11:26 PM] – SUCCESS :Processing signup request of free membership with email confirmation for: webmaster@catskill.net
[11/20/2020 11:26 PM] – SUCCESS :reCAPTCH is valid… creating member account for: webmaster@catskill.net
[11/20/2020 11:26 PM] – SUCCESS :Sending registration completion email for free registration with confirmation to: webmaster@catskill.net
[11/20/2020 11:26 PM] – SUCCESS :Free registration with confirmation complete. The last thing I changed before this problem happened was activating reCAPTCHA. I wonder if that could be the problem. Did I set it up incorrectly?

If the debug log says the email was send; then the email successfully “left the plugin.” That DOES NOT necessarily mean your hosting provider sent the email to the intended receiver.
Are you using the outgoing SMTP server provided by your hosting provider? Are any other WordPress emails being successfully sent/received? Are you using a “FROM” email domain that matches what your hosting provider “expects?”
November 20, 2020 at 9:37 pm #82025adminKeymasterThere is an email delivery related issue on your site. Please fully read the following post which will explain the issue. You can install an SMTP plugin to improve this situation.
