The base shipping will be charged whenever the shipping is triggered. There is no way to turn this off for one product. The best way to do this is the way you are already doing it.
$18 specified in the Product shipping + $7.00 base shipping.
Note when this is sent to PayPal it is sent as $25.00 (this is the total shipping).
1. To install the extra-shortcodes plugin you would do this like any other WordPress plugin. The best way to do this is via the WordPress plugin upload option. Check the video tutorial for your WP eStore plugin installation that will show you how to install a WP plugin using WP plugin uploader.
2. The mp3 file from the Digital Product URL field will be used as the source audio.
3. Note you can make you own display you do not have to use our fancy displays. This way you can make the page and demo anyway you want to.

I believe the it is the following shortcode from the eStore Extra Shortcodes addon:

You will set the minimum payment in the “Manage Payouts” menu of the admin when you generate a payout report. Go to the “Manage Payouts” menu and you should see the option.
You have to manually send the actual money however you see fit (some choose to pay with PayPal, some pay with bank transfer, some with cheque).

No the username can not be changed once they are setup (they must be unique). You will need to delete that user profile and then create a new one with the *new* username.
