ModeratorIt means the customer’s version of Windows Media Player doesn’t like your iTunes compatible MP3 file… more or less…
That, or there is “just enough” of a problem for WMP not to like it.

ModeratorReminder to everyone; No capital letters or underscores allowed in the bucket names…

ModeratorOne more thing… If you keep the plugins, be sure to deactivate any licenses before your provider resets the account or changes the domain.

ModeratorWell, from a business perspective; do you want to still use the same domain name? If so, just have the provider reset everything to the way it was when you first got the account. If not, and you don’t think you’ll need that domain name anymore; there are a couple of things you can do…
You can try to sell off the site as-is on eBay. If you do that you’ll need to talk to Amin/Ivy about license transfers to the new owner. You would then start over from square one.
You can just “park” the existing domain and get a new one through your provider. The existing domain will be “disconnected” from the site and will simply point to a “parked domain” page. Your provider then points the new domain name to your existing account and resets everything. You can then try to sell off the parked domain; either on eBay or some other appropriate domain marketplace.
Or you simply walk away from everything and start out fresh. The existing site and domain name will expire and disappear on their own. And whoever next gets that domain name will get it for the same price you paid for it. I’m not saying MidiFileStore.com is worth anything like Sex.com but hey, you never know about these things, LOL.

ModeratorYes, it would be ok. Any corruptions would be caused by the path from Amazon to the buyer.
The brief delay, is because your server must first decrypt the original download link, then generate another encrypted expiring URL request for Amazon. At which time, the buyer’s browser is redirected to Amazon and then things should speed up from there.

ModeratorIf S3 was properly configured, you should not be receiving that message. Please check to see if the product URL for that item is properly coded for the as3tp format and points to a valid bucket object.

ModeratorIt should be safe, as your server is no longer involved in the download process.

Please let us know if any of this needs further clarification.

ModeratorYes, you can use the admin test panel of eStore to generate links. Just be sure that you follow the instructions regarding how to setup the product URL using the as3tp format; and that your bucket names strictly adhere to the S3 restrictions for bucket names. The default permission is private for uploaded files to Amazon. You can test it by trying to save a link and then using it after it has expired.

ModeratorYou might consider using the native Amazon S3 integration feature. Customers who have switched to it report that all download problems have magically disappeared. As an added incentive, the first year is free.
Amazon Web Services Simple Storage Service (AWS S3) Integration
The primary reason for switching to S3 is that there are just too many variables outside the control of the plugin. Unless you went out and got the best hosting service money can buy, there will always be some little server related issue that can cause problems.
And from a design standpoint, you will improve your server’s performance because the burden of processing large downloads will be handled by Amazon.

ModeratorWhen you say page not found errors, do you mean from the browser, or from eStore? Have you tried other download method settings?
