Hmmm… Did you put the above shortcode on the checkout page? make sure you put a “S” in eStore also. Yes you will have to place the code where you want it to do there is no auto placement options. You can also copy and paste the shortcode from the list.
IvyMemberHi, I believe you are using the shortcode that shows the cart all the time.
Please use the following shortcode and this should fix your problem:
[wp_eStore_cart_when_not_empty]
Display the shopping cart on a post or page but the
cart is visible only when there are items in the cart
You can find a list of all the shortcodes here:
http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/ecommerce/wp-estore-shortcodes-and-functions-reference-460
IvyMemberHi, You can use the “WordPress User Integration” feature in eMember which basically makes it so when a member registers on eMember it creates a WordPress user with a predefined “Role”. This way it shares the same login details and mechanism.
This allows you to use the eMember plugin with any plugin that uses the WordPress user database to control access as it will have the same login details.
IvyMemberHi Jan-Marie, At this time the eMember does not have a member log.
Update: This feature has been added to the plugin. You can enable debug in eMember settings and you will be able to see the login and logout activity of your members.
IvyMemberHi, You would need to use a Buy Now button for each product. Different currencies can not be added to the cart.
IvyMemberHi, That is the shortcode to display the products. You will need to add the actual shopping cart (shows the items and checkout) to the page.
One of the following shortcodes will display the shopping cart on a page or post:
[wp_eStore_cart]
Display the shopping cart on a post or page
[wp_eStore_cart_when_not_empty]
Display the shopping cart on a post or page but the
cart is visible only when there are items in the cart
You can also show this on the side bar (using the PHP function) please see the full list of shortcodes and PHP functions here: http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/ecommerce/wp-estore-shortcodes-and-functions-reference-460
IvyMemberHi, You need to have a shipping cost for each product for it to trigger the shipping (this has to do with PayPal). The best way to do this is to put “.001” for the shipping cost of an individual item. When you do this it does not change the price of the item but will trigger the shipping.
IvyMemberHi, I have sent you another update. Please let me know if you do not get this email.
IvyMemberHi, Most of the time this happens when the from email address do not match correctly with the trigger rule:
Can you please check and make sure you have followed this instruction correctly?

June 7, 2010 at 2:47 am in reply to: "You cart is empty" & "visit the shop" text missing when cart is empty #21434IvyMemberHi, If you delete the plugin in WordPress and upload a fresh copy this should put the code back to its original state. You will not lose your settings updating the plugin. Note if your files are stored in the downloads directory of the eStore you will want to move this file before you update the plugin so you do not have to re-upload your products. After the update simple move the folder back.
You will then want to use the following shortcode on your checkout page:
[wp_eStore_cart]
You can find a list of all the shortcodes here:

IvyMemberHi, We added a feature to the eStore which caused a bug this was discovered and fixed the same day. I sent out updates via email but it looks like you did not get the email (check your spam folder). I will send you the update request form, updating to the latest version of the plugin will fix this issue. Please let me know if you do not receive this email.
IvyMemberIt looks like you are using a add to cart button instead of the subscription button. PayPal handles subscription payment differently then normal payments. A subscription can not be added to a cart, also you can not use a coupon with a subscription. Please see the following article as it should explain how to setup a subscription button: http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/ecommerce/how-to-add-a-subscription-button-for-recurring-payment-400
