I receive this error message:
You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.
I just installed the plugin.
Thanks,
Graham

July 25, 2010 at 10:46 am #21322ramjetMemberSame problem for me too
July 25, 2010 at 11:01 am #21323wpCommerceModeratorCan you please post a link to the page where it’s happening?
July 25, 2010 at 11:32 am #21324ramjetMemberIt’s every page of the wp store admin exept the “Manage Products” page. The strange thing is that I’ve been using it with no problems previously, then left it for around a week then came back to it being like this. I’ve updated nothing nor added any more plugins in that time. I’m wondering if it’s something to do with the server, but I’ve no idea what to do.
July 25, 2010 at 10:51 pm #21325ramjetMemberI’ve spoken to support at Hostgator, and they can see the problem and are working on it. They believe that it might be something in the set up or installation of estore that is corrupting the admin metadata, so wordpress isn’t recognising me as an admin for this plugin.
I’ll let you know if they fix it and if they’re able to isolate the problem.
July 25, 2010 at 11:25 pm #21326ramjetMemberThey couldn’t fix it. They recommend re-installing the plugin – I’ve already tried that, including ftp’ing in binary mode. Here’s their reply:
I recommend re-uploading the plugin and making sure that all of the files get to the sever intact. Whats happening is that wordpress can’t find the link that is under WP eStore and by default it tells you that it doesn’t have permissions. I have seen this on other plugins too and it is up to the developer to correct it. Either the files are missing or the plugin is linking to a bad page. If you have any further questions about this please let us know.
July 26, 2010 at 2:12 am #21327amin007ParticipantThis is what I found the last time I saw this error:
You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page error
Please read the above post and let me know if you have done something similar. If you are still clueless let me know and I will jump on your server to see what is going on.
July 26, 2010 at 2:47 am #21328AnonymousGuestIt seems like the plugin does not work on my subdomain. so I tested it on another site without a subdomain and it works just fine. In the subdomain when I add a product it says added successfully, but then when I go to the manage products page it is blank and says no products have been added. Is there a fix for this? Thanks John.
July 26, 2010 at 3:09 am #21329IvyMemberHi, Did you make sure to deactivate and reactivate the plugin after installing via FTP or updating the plugin?
July 26, 2010 at 3:21 am #21330amin007ParticipantThe plugin works fine on a sub-domain (this has been tested and many sites are using this already).
I suspect you haven’t done the deactivation and reactivation of the plugin after an update so the database table is out of sync.
July 26, 2010 at 3:38 am #21331AnonymousGuestI just got the upgrade link and did the upgrade and now it works perfectly. Thanks for the quick response.
July 26, 2010 at 11:46 am #21332ramjetMemberHi Key Master,
No, I’ve done nothing with .htaccess.
This is the format of the urls:
http://www.mywebsite.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wp_eStore_addedit
Which appears to be correct according to your other post.
I guess I need you to dive into the server!
