December 9, 2011 at 6:52 am in reply to: estore payment issue with recurring payment and check out amount #39479IvyMemberPayPal handles subscription payments differently than normal one so coupons can not be applied to recurring subscriptions. Maybe trying a trial period with the discounted amount would work for you

IvyMemberThe manual checkout can be used the way you are looking for. You can un-check the “Use Multiple Payment Gateways” this will keep the manual payment option out of the shopping cart payment drop down menu so customer can not choose it.
Under payment gateway options you will find the following options “Embed Manual Checkout Form on a WordPress Page (optional)”. Use this option to place the manual payment form on a page. You can use a page exclude plugin to hide this page from the navigation menu if you want. Also you can keep this page as draft until you need to use it. This way you only have access to this page and when you need to use it.
There are option in the manual checkout that allow for the customer data to be updated in the database, download links sent automatically, and so on without a payment being made. You can find all these options in the “manual/off-line checkout settings menu” of the “payment gateway options”.
The following post will be helpful:

IvyMemberThe cart with the red x is to empty out (delete) the shopping cart. It does not mean the cart is empty. Your customers can use this if they have made a mistake and want to start over.

September 30, 2011 at 1:52 am in reply to: IPN sent to the plugin (example, WP eStore) are failing #18222IvyMemberMake sure to checkout the list of plugins that do not play nice post as there are some plugins that also block PayPal’s IPN.
IvyMemberHi Kirk, PayPal allows you to create checkout page styles in your PayPal profile. After you have created a page style in your PayPal account you can then specify this in the eStore.
eStore Settings > Payment Gateways Tab (at the top of the eStore setting page) > Custom Checkout Page Style Name.
IvyMemberHi, Our plugins can only do subscriptions via PayPal at this time. This is stated on our subscription documentation page here: http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/ecommerce/how-to-add-a-subscription-button-for-recurring-payment-400
When using PayPal for the subscription to do the free month you would use the trial period.
IvyMemberHi, I believe the following shortcode from the extra shortcodes plugin is what you are looking for:
[wp_eStore_category_products_fancy id=1 style=3 order=1 type=1]
You can find this plugin and all the WP eStore shortcodes here: http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/ecommerce/wp-estore-shortcodes-and-functions-reference-460
IvyMember1. No this is not possible with the eStore. The eStore only has simple shipping options. Maybe the shipping variation (Note: this is something the customer would have to choose so it may not work for what you are looking to do).
2.The coupon would be applied to the shopping cart before you go to PayPal so this would have no effect on the PayPal shipping as this is applied after the coupon on PayPal’s site.
