clearscopedesignParticipant
We are referring to a notification once the account has been renewed.
A confirmation that the user receives once they have renewed their account, something like ‘Your account has been renewed, thank you for being a valued member.’
Does this not exist?
March 21, 2014 at 12:48 pm in reply to: eMember – recurring payment 2 options (for the same membership level) #56870clearscopedesignParticipantGreat, thank you! The only thing is that I don’t see within your documentation there how to create a recurring payment button.
I see the instructions for creating a ‘Buy Now’ PayPal button. And I see the explanation of the “Difference between ‘Buy Now’ and ‘Subscription’ type buttons for membership payment.” But I do not actually see the instructions for creating the ‘Subscription’ type PayPal button.
How do we create the ‘Subscription’ type button?
Thank you!
clearscopedesignParticipantCan you please tell me how to change the auto-email for account renewals. I see the ‘Account Upgrade’ email, and all the other ones, but I do not see the email settings for ‘Account Renewal.’ Where can we edit this.
Thank you!
March 18, 2014 at 9:47 am in reply to: eMember – recurring payment 2 options (for the same membership level) #56868clearscopedesignParticipantIs it possible to offer members both a recurring (subscription) payment option, as well as a single (not recurring) payment option, and let them decide which one they’d like to use? If so, do we just create 2 different buttons for that?
Thank you!
clearscopedesignParticipantWe are now having this same exact issue. Enter the email address in the popup, click ‘reset, then it says ‘Please wait…’ but nothing happens.
Please advise, thank you!
March 9, 2014 at 9:26 pm in reply to: Protect a bbPress forum and all it's topics to a single Membership Level #53960clearscopedesignParticipantWe are having a couple issues with eMember content protection on our bbPress forum. We have 2 forums, each which should only be accessible by a specific membership level.
The first issue is that if you go to either of the forums without the proper membership level, while you cannot see the content, there is no ‘You do not have permission to view this content’ message. So, it’s confusing for someone who doesn’t realize they don’t have the proper membership level. How do we get the ‘You do not have permission to view this content’ message to appear on protected forums?
The second issue is that search results within the forum do not seem to be protected at all. If you have access to one of the forums, and you do a search, you will be able to see results from the forum that you do not have permission/access to view. Can you please tell us how we rectify this?
Thank you!!!
clearscopedesignParticipantPerfect thank you!
clearscopedesignParticipantWe are having an issue with the ‘Please renew or upgrade your account’ link that appears when an account is expired.
Right now that link sends to a page that does not even exist: /members/join-us/
In our eMember Settings > Membership Payment/Join Page we have it set to: /members/register/
But, again, the link that appears when an account is expired links to a page that does not exist and we get a 404 error.
Is there somewhere else that we need to specify where that link should point to?
Also, can you please help us understand how to set up the payment option for folks to renew their memberships? I’ve been searching around the forum but can’t find this answer. We want to use PayPal as the payment gateway. Is there a shortcode that we need to use to get the payment button to appear for each membership level?
Thank you!
clearscopedesignParticipantIs there a way to change the format from within the member view (for example ‘Member Since’ or ‘Subscription Starts’), so that the day appears before the month (European style).
For example: 2014-24-02 instead of 2014-02-24
Thanks!
clearscopedesignParticipantOk – we’d definitely like to avoid the technical challenges involved in a customization like this.
Is there any chance that the full page lockdown feature will be able to handle membership level specifics in the future?
clearscopedesignParticipantOk, we may need to request that, thank you. Basically we just need to be able to make certain materials available to a group of people who do not meet our full membership requirements (and so can’t have access to our member pages).
Is the custom change something that will need to be applied each time the plugin is updated?
clearscopedesignParticipantHow can we ‘Enable Specific Page Lockdown’ against certain membership levels? So that if someone doesn’t have the correct membership level, they will be blocked from the page entirely and redirected away from it (just like ‘Enable Specific Page Lockdown’ does for anyone who doesn’t have a membership).
We have a particular membership level that should not have access at all to the member pages of the website (not just the content but the entire pages). However the ‘Enable Specific Page Lockdown’ doesn’t seem to give a way to block against membership levels. How can we specify ‘Enable Specific Page Lockdown’ for membership levels?
Thanks!
February 5, 2014 at 7:37 am in reply to: 'Please click the update button' warning always shown with shipping variables #38078clearscopedesignParticipantWe continue to have complaints with people affiliated with our business that it’s a pain for our customers to have to update/confirm the shipping location by default.
Could we please, please have the option to not have this function be required?
Also we’ve had complaints that “Sometimes when people click on UPDATE, it empties the cart.”
Now, I can’t verify this last one as I haven’t personally been able to duplicate that problem. But forcing people to ‘update’ every time certainly increases the frequency of it if this is an issue.
Being able to make the forced ‘update’ not required would make things a lot easier for our customers and our store. I know that others have requested that it be required, but on our end it’s just making things a big hassle.
Could we please, please, pretty please with sugar on top, have the option within eStore settings to decide whether we want this function to be required or not?
Thank you!
February 3, 2014 at 10:39 pm in reply to: Display all membership levels of the user in his profile? #53913clearscopedesignParticipantWhen displaying secondary membership levels, there are no spaces between each item.
Using this shortcode:
[wp_eMember_user_details user_info="user_additional_membership_level_names"]
It displays like this: Spanish,Finnish,German
Doesn’t look very good. Is it possible to have spaces in between the items so that it is grammatically correct?
Thanks!
January 8, 2014 at 6:06 am in reply to: capturing more information even when paying via paypal #21037clearscopedesignParticipantThe second option is exactly what we would like to use. However this special instructions field does not appear anywhere for us in the payment process. I can send you a screenshot of the “Review your information” page, the last step before clicking ‘Pay Now’ – there is no field for additional notes or instructions. How do we enable this?
