I’m working on a two separate websites. One for members and one for non-members and for some reason the “join us” link on the member login page redirects to the non-member website…
How do I change the link location for “Join Us”? I can’t find it anywhere and i’m about to lose my mind because i’m sure it’s so simple..
Thank you for the help The plugin is great…
September 19, 2012 at 4:02 am #49457adminKeymasterGo to the following area of eMember and specify the URL value that you want:
WP eMember settings -> Pages/Forms Settings -> Membership Payment/Join Page
I would also recommend you to watch the eMember’s startup video tutorials:

February 27, 2014 at 1:45 am #49459clearscopedesignParticipantWe are having an issue with the ‘Please renew or upgrade your account’ link that appears when an account is expired.
Right now that link sends to a page that does not even exist: /members/join-us/
In our eMember Settings > Membership Payment/Join Page we have it set to: /members/register/
But, again, the link that appears when an account is expired links to a page that does not exist and we get a 404 error.
Is there somewhere else that we need to specify where that link should point to?
Also, can you please help us understand how to set up the payment option for folks to renew their memberships? I’ve been searching around the forum but can’t find this answer. We want to use PayPal as the payment gateway. Is there a shortcode that we need to use to get the payment button to appear for each membership level?
Thank you!
February 27, 2014 at 10:15 pm #49460adminKeymasterCheck the value in the following field (that URL comes from that field):
eMember settings -> Account Upgrade and Renewal Settings -> Membership renewal Page
Read the following documentation for renewal:

November 22, 2016 at 8:27 am #49462rogercqMemberHello … I’ve obviously mucked-up something … WP eMember the widget for login and the associated links: ‘Edit profile’, and ‘logout’ all redirecting me to the error 404 page. How do I edit the links to specify to what page they take me? Also the logout link is not logging me out.
I’m using fancy login style 2
November 22, 2016 at 11:06 pm #49463adminKeymasterThe following documentation will help you sort out the mandatory/required pages of the plugin:
November 25, 2016 at 9:04 pm #49464rogercqMemberThank you, apparently my problem was when I moved the new website from a sub-folder while I was building the site, to live … the sub-folder extensions on the domain name did not automatically change. Having now changed the URLs it appears to be working fine. I still have some work to do before I let our members know there is a new website, but so far all looking good.
I do have a separate question on using the fancy login … under the login box is appearing a rectangular transparent box and its also there after logging-in … can this be removed or is this normal? [http://www.jujitsu.com.au/index.php/member-login/]
November 25, 2016 at 11:26 pm #49465adminKeymasterThat box seem to be coming from some HTML code that you have wrapped around the shortcode (or below the shortcode). Edit that wordpress page and go to “Text” mode so you can see everything in the page. Make sure to remove any HTML tag (just keep the shortcode in there).
November 26, 2016 at 6:33 am #49466rogercqMemberGreat, Yes there was some code after the login shortcode
no idea why, however after deleting it the issue was fixed … thank you

1. Edit Profile … I’m using Form Builder and have several membership levels with a different registration form for each. How do I have it so when someone has loged-in and clicks on the Edit Profile link they are taken to the correct profile. Is there additional code I should be including within [wp_eMember_edit_profile]?
2. Bulk Upload … can I add additional columns to the upload CSV template? I have already added these fields within the ‘Custom Field Settings
Thank you
November 27, 2016 at 11:46 pm #49468adminKeymaster1) Nothing special needs to be done. The standard edit profile form will handle all that. The standard edit profile page will read the member’s level then load the form associated with that level. So it will load the custom form for that level (if there is one)
2) No, bulk upload doesn’t handle any custom fields.
November 28, 2016 at 10:12 am #49469rogercqMemberEdit Profile – Currently I have six membership levels although, only three of those levels have registration forms. The intention being that members will be upgraded either manually or after a time period, to the higher levels … there is no additional fee involved. The problem I’m experiencing is after upgrading someone or uploading them to a level that is not one of the levels with a registration form … the ‘edit profile’link is not working.
For the Membership Levels where there is a Registration Form, Edit Profile is taking the member back to the Regeneration Form showing data already entered.
Is there a way for eMember to redirect these members to their existing profile … OR does this mean I need to create a registration form for all six membership levels? … If so can I duplicate the existing registration form, the fields to be completed would still be the same as completed when they first registered?
Thank you
November 29, 2016 at 12:24 am #49470adminKeymasterThe form fields are connected to the membership level. If you change the level and the new level doesn’t have a form with the same fields then it won’t be able to show the values.
You need to create custom form for each of the membership levels and make sure the form fields align up between the levels that you will be changing them. So if a user signs up to level A and then you will change them to level B later. The custom forms for BOTH level A and B need to have the same fields otherwise the plugin can’t show the data.
