I just submitted the Site Access form, as the site is protected by eMember, and I did not want to give access details here
mack417MemberAlso, the same site is using eStore, with the same S3 account and keys, and has not had any problems, so this is specifically related to Lightbox Ultimate
mack417MemberI should also note that I re-entered the S3 keys to make sure they were accurate, and still get the error
August 14, 2012 at 1:48 am in reply to: Lightbox Ultimate – Timeout Error with Private S3 PDF's #48347mack417MemberHi- thank you, but I think that I have figured it out. I placed the code into the html editor instead of the visual, and it seems to be working now. I don’t know what difference it made, but it solved the problem.
Thanks again!
August 13, 2012 at 12:38 pm in reply to: Lightbox Ultimate – Timeout Error with Private S3 PDF's #48345mack417MemberI understand what it is supposed to do, it is working with videos, but it is not working properly with PDF’s, that’s why I posted the question.
I have tried leaving the value, and I have also tried removing the value, both give the same result, the countdown to expire seems to start when I press the update button, not at page load.
No, I am not using any cashing plugin.

I can’t make the files public, because I do sell them. I have a main site where we sell the content, and we also sell a membership. We moved the members area to a sub domain, so the whole sub domain will be restricted with e-member, but the files are the same files that we sell individually on the main site, so they have to be protected in S3.
Previously I had a protected “Download Now” button in the members area, but the Lightbox Ultimate is a much better way to deliver to members, so I am trying to use that.
I don’t understand why I am having this issue with PDF’s, it seems like the link expiration countdown is starting from the time I hit “update” in wordpress, not the page load, so 3-5 minutes after i hit update, it is timed out. I wouldn’t have an issue if it was 3-5 minutes after page load, but that doesn’t seem to be the case
I have used this plugin with videos and not had a similar problem. Is there an issue with PDF’s that make the functionality different than with videos?
Thanks,
Matt
mack417MemberThanks! I think that solves my problem. Let me just make sure I have the concept before I move forward.
On the sub domain I install e-store and e-member and set them up to sell the membership, Product#1. I install the extra short codes plugin, then I can use the text link to sell product#1 from any site – I am using the “buy now”, no cart. So on my main domain I could just have a button image with the href=”text link” and that would in effect take purchasers directly to pay pal, and then pass the sale and them on to the sub domain for registration.
One question, if I want to use the whole site lock down feature, will the purchasers be able to register properly after the paypal transaction, or will the complete site lock down effect that?
mack417MemberYes, there is a thank you page that they are directed to after completing the paypal transaction. But this is set up through Gravity Forms, not a paypal button.
There is not a actual paypal button in the order form. It is a GF “submit” button. GF has a paypal integration add on, and when you set it up you enable an IPN, and direct it to a page specified by GF – http://mydomain.com/?page=gf_paypal_ipn
So the buyer would fill out the form, click on submit, be taken to paypal to pay, and after payment the buyer is taken to the thank you page and the IPN is triggered to send the completed and paid order form for processing.
The GF button must specify the return URL, just like if I were to create a simple paypal button, so that should work once I set up the PDT token.
But will this cause a problem with eStore integration? I need the affiliate platform to pick up both.
Thanks

You can view a screenshot of the problem here. I places a red box around the section where the description is running out of the lightbox.

The embedded images are at the bottom of the page.

That solved the problem.
Do you have an email list to be notified of updates to plugins so that I can stay up to date?
January 12, 2012 at 3:06 pm in reply to: Lightbox Ultimate – View Counter and video on iPhone/iPad #40632mack417MemberOk, I understand the no view tracking, no problem.
For the other question, about s3 videos, i tried the other short code, where it embeds the video into the page instead of having it pop out in a lightbox, but it still will not play on my iphone.
I also have a question about the styling for the direct embed too. It seems that when I embed directly to the page, there is not a preview image that I can set, and I also can not style the box the same way (i was using the class styling for the image because I have a light background and it gave a grey border)
I am pasting a link below for a page that has the embed shortcode on it. I have to leave the auto play function on, becuase all of my other pages are using the lightbox option, and I need to leave those set to autoplay. But the video will not play on my iphone, and when I turn off autoplay all that is there is a black box with a play button.
mack417MemberThank You.
I also appreciate the other options, I always hesitate before changing PHP because it can be an issue when there are updates. I had tried the per product option, but I have the products placed in multiple places, and that overrides my Add to Cart button.
Thanks again.
mack417MemberGreat, thanks. I have had time to take a look, but I am not really good at PHP. What line or section should I look at to style the button? None of it really looks like HTML to me. Or is there something that I could put in to get it to call an image for this?
