April 20, 2010 at 12:13 am in reply to: Why Configure Every Product Separately When Used with NextGen Gallery #18543IvyMemberHi, Here is a possible solution for you. You can use the “Collect Customer Input Field”
“When checked, it will display a text box next to the Add to Cart button where the customer can enter special instruction for that product (eg. a Name if selling Engraving).”
This way you can make a generic product like 8×10 or 5×7 and the customer can put the name or photo number (whatever system you want to use to label the photos) in the special instruction field.
This information will then be send in the confirmation email to the seller and buyer.
Note: since this information is passed to Paypal there is a 30 character limit for this field.

IvyMemberHi Joshua, You can upload the products to your sever. These files can be store in any folder you would like, but we recommend uploading them to the downloads directory of the eStore plugin. If you need help finding this folder please let me know and I will send you an email regarding this.

IvyMemberWhen using the “Buy Now” button the customer will only be able to buy one item at a time. The payment processing screen is used to pass the information needed to Paypal when using a “Add to Cart” button so this screen can not be removed.

IvyMemberHi, What version of the eStore are you using? I believe will just need to update the plugin to fix this issue. There was a small bug with IE and this has since been fixed.

IvyMemberHi, This sounds like a PHP session issue. You will need to contact your hosting provider to fix this issue. They will need to check that the PHP session is turned on and configured properly. This should only take them a few minutes to do.
Let us know how this goes.

IvyMemberHi Gary, Are there spaces in the download link? or are there any non alpha or numeric characters other then (-) or (_)?
If there are please remove the spaces or non alphanumeric characters and retest the encrypted link.
Please let me know how it goes.
