Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error. it is on 2.9.1.
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in wampwwwmodstructionwp-contentpluginswp-eMembereMember_settings_menu.php on line 247
I am getting almost same message with affiliate plugin as well.
thogh estore was installed/activated fine.

Most people are using a Linux server which is good but some are using Windows server so I am maintaining two sets of files (each with the corresponding file format) and sometimes it gets mixed. Most servers do not have an issue with the file format but some do. I will send you another copy of the plugin which should resolve this.
April 17, 2010 at 6:36 am #17330ceciliatanMemberHm, I seem to be having the same problem? Except the machine I am running my WordPress server on is not a Windows box. I believe it’s Linux–or possibly FreeBSD? (I can find out.) I just purchased and activated the eStore plugin and got “Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.”
The plugin *looks* like it did activate, but when I try to add a product, although it says it is added, nothing appears. Likewise for adding a category. Nothing happens.
I purchased the affiliate plugin also and haven’t tried to activate it yet.
Can you help?

April 30, 2010 at 3:52 pm #17332inmypjs777MemberHello, today I purchased the emember and estore plugins. The estore activated without any problems however when I went to upload the emeber plugin it said,
Plug in could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

May 11, 2010 at 7:20 pm #17334ceciliatanMemberIvy, just to let you know, we’ve done a rebuild of the site using MySQL 5.1 and we are testing it now. So far no errors and test purchases and downloads went through! Still working on getting email notifications to work, but I think that is a Word Press/SMTP issue and not the cart itself. Thanks for all your help!
May 14, 2010 at 7:48 pm #17335tslogockiMemberIvy,
Similar to the post above I just purchased emember/estore and when I try to activate emember I reciever the following error. Looks like the estore installed fine.

I am using the latest version of WP and I have my hosting through Net Nation.

May 19, 2010 at 7:08 pm #17337strategicblendMemberI am also having this error
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_OBJECT_OPERATOR in /homepages/5/d268540004/htdocs/testing/wp-content/plugins/wp-eMember/auth.php on line 156
Please advise, and is it possible to just post the solution here? Since there are multiple users with the same issue it might save you customer service time to just have a single solution everyone can point to.
May 20, 2010 at 2:09 am #17338amin007ParticipantIt’s usually related to your server using a very old version of PHP but the only way to be sure is if you can tell us the PHP version that your server is using.
This post has more info on this:
May 20, 2010 at 8:10 am #17339AbbaMemberYes man i have also this fatal error i think it is due to the old version of PHp but could you tell me right thing
May 20, 2010 at 2:35 pm #17340strategicblendMemberWe’re running php 5+ on 1&1 hosting. We test many plugins on this account and haven’t had any issues previously.
May 20, 2010 at 11:59 pm #17341IvyMemberIf you are using PHP5+ then the PHP version is not the issue. I will need to take a look at your system to determine the cause. I have sent you an email.. Please let me know if you do not receive it.
Cheers,
