ModeratorHmmm, our messages got crossed… If you have eStore version 5.6.6 or higher, replace the “http” or “https” part of the URL with either “aprtp” or “aprtps” in the Digital Product URL field.

ModeratorYou want to use the URL of a web page as the Digital Product URL?
If that is the case, and you have eStore version 5.6.6 or higher, replace the “http” or “https” part of the URL with either “aprtp” or “aprtps” in the Digital Product URL field.

ModeratorThere are 2 things that can be done…
1. Use something like Lightbox Ultimate to stream from Amazon S3.
2. 2 days ago we added Authenticated Page Redirect (APR) to eStore. when APR is used, an encrypted cookie is required to view the page. Documentation on APR is forthcoming.

ModeratorAnd is the problem with every PDF file you’ve tried to stamp? Even a simple test file?
Perhaps you can try deactivating and reinstalling a fresh copy of the plugin.

ModeratorIt’s a combination of server and network performance issues. The best solution is to use the Amazon S3 integration feature, and hand off the downloading to Amazon.
The first year is free.

ModeratorThere is no such thing as a “listen only” mode on the Internet. The best you can do is offer an incentive to get a membership. Perhaps by offering lower fidelity recordings for free, and then higher fidelity downloads to subscribers. Look at the CNN sites. they offer written transcripts and snippets for free (without logging in), but require you to be logged in to get the complete program.
