MemberCan you log in to your paypal account and check the following settings:
1) “Auto Return” (this should be enabled)
2) “Payment Data Transfer (optional)”
3) Also find the “Instant Payment Notification (IPN)” setting and please enable this feature if it’s not enabled.

MemberLooks like something on your server is blocking communication with paypal.
Do you have a firewall or some kind of security plugin which could be blocking outbound communication?
If it’s not the above, you should also ask your host provider why connectivity to paypal is being blocked. They will be able to tell you why.

MemberHi John,
As long as you don’t delete the individual gallery pages which are created automatically, there is nothing to stop you from modifying things on those pages such as the slug etc. The post ID is actually the thing which is stored in the “wps_gallery” table and which links a gallery to a page.
Peter
MemberYep that’s right Chris – it probably is a z-index thing. It’s just a matter of inspecting the actual page via firebug so we can determine what the best custom css code should be for this situation. (every theme and site has different quirks)
Peter
MemberI have created separate pages and copied the short codes and these pages links work ok but the thumbnails go to a different URL.
I think this is your main problem. Seems like you have deleted the original individual gallery pages.
Why did you need to create 3 different gallery pages? (the plugin already creates these pages automatically when you create a gallery)
This all ties into the gallery home page shortcode too because the plugin will get the page URLs of each gallery page from the DB. Since it appears that you deleted these pages the plugin can’t find them.
What is the shortcode which is on the “http://alisonthomasartist.co.uk/wordpress/shop/” page?
Peter
MemberCan you please provide a link to the gallery page so I can inspect the issue from my browser?

MemberHi,
You have made some good points.
One which I think will improve the photo seller is to have a special shortcode which will display the galleries of your choice.
I will look at the code to see if such a shortcode can be easily added.
How would I send people interested in stock photo prints back to the stock photo galleries page and the fine art customers back to the fine art gallery page, and proof customers somewhere else? for example?
I think for this we could change the current behaviour of the photo seller and make it so that the visitor can go back to the last gallery viewed instead of a fixed global setting such as the current way of doing it.

MemberTo achieve what you want we will have to do a custom work request.
I will send you an email to discuss further.

MemberHi, You can remove those pages from the menu via the Appearance->Menu settings in wordpress.
I have confirmed that this works on my test site.
Have you tried that?
As long as you don’t delete those pages all should work fine.

MemberWhen you say you chose a template from your theme, do you mean that you entered the template file name in the “Gallery Page Template” box inside the gallery settings page?
If so, what exactly did you enter in that box?
Can you show me the template 9 gallery page where it looks all messed up so I can take a look?

MemberI created my first gallery, uploaded the photos and selected create gallery
Can you please try again but do it like this:
– pre-requisite: make sure that you have created a price list
1) Go to the Gallery menu item and click the “Create New Gallery” button.
2) Fill in the details of your gallery settings
3) Upload some photos from inside the gallery settings page (see “Upload Images” section)
4) Then click the “Save Gallery” button.
Try the above and let me know if you still see a problem.
Peter
MemberNo problem – good to hear you found it.
Peter
MemberIn the album settings we currently only have 2 templates to choose from. More coming in future.
The gallery settings page will have more templates for the gallery level display.

MemberYour coupon is producing a 100% discount which means the cost is $0.
Paypal won’t allow transactions with $0 cost. The photo seller plugin is designed to automatically detect cases of $0 total cost and it will revert to manual checkout for such a special case.
Change the coupon discount to less than 100% and it will work as expected.
