Photo Seller – Alternative to using the Paypal checkout process

Do we have to use the Paypal checkout process or is there another alternative that can be installed/configured that would allow Paypal to be the payment gateway, but keep them inside of our site for the checkout process. Understanding of course that the site would require a SSL.
