I created my first gallery, uploaded the photos and selected create gallery, upon save I got the error “Nonce check failed on gallery settings save!” and the gallery was not created.
What can I do next?
I created my first gallery, uploaded the photos and selected create gallery
Can you please try again but do it like this:
– pre-requisite: make sure that you have created a price list
1) Go to the Gallery menu item and click the “Create New Gallery” button.
2) Fill in the details of your gallery settings
3) Upload some photos from inside the gallery settings page (see “Upload Images” section)
4) Then click the “Save Gallery” button.
Try the above and let me know if you still see a problem.
Peter,
This is how I did create the first gallery, sorry if I confused you by “selected create gallery”. The images were uploaded as part of the creation of the gallery workflow. I did not upload them first and then create the gallery. I did select one of the templates my theme offers, for media gallery. Thinking that might be the issue…
Today I deleted the images and the gallery and started over, this time not selecting a gallery template from my theme. I did NOT get the nonce message, the gallery was created but did not display as I had hoped. All the photo thumbs were in one column, they did not fill a page wide grid, and the add to cart button does not show. (template 9).
When you say you chose a template from your theme, do you mean that you entered the template file name in the “Gallery Page Template” box inside the gallery settings page?
If so, what exactly did you enter in that box?
Can you show me the template 9 gallery page where it looks all messed up so I can take a look?
Peter, I entered the name of one of the gallery template files from my theme, template-portfolio-masonry.php
That gave me the nonce.
Would you like a login? Or do you just want to inspect the front end code from an url to the site? It is not live, it is on an admin access only staging subdomain, but i can provide you a login if you like.
I will email you to get login details.
