LOL – ok, I figured it out the instant after I wrote my reply. And your advice was indeed on target! For some reason the update must have reset the universal “access to” settings – when I looked, ALL of them were unchecked.
All good now. Thanks for your help!
September 30, 2016 at 2:03 am in reply to: eMember – Updated plugin now no one has permission to access content pages #74266bentley74MemberI will take a look at this, but keep in mind this membership has been up and running for years now with no issues. It was literally ONLY after I upgraded to the latest version today that the content was no longer accessible.
bentley74MemberJust to be clear, in order for an existing member to be able to purchase one of these add-ons and have it added to their profile they need to be logged in, right?
There is no system in place whereby the membership software recognizes (for example) an email address of a member and will add the level even if they are logged out when they make the purchase?
Even if not, I think this could work – I’d simply need to emphasize the importance of ordering the add-ons from inside the member’s area (offering a discount would likely help to encourage this).
And worst case scenario, I CAN manually add an additional level for a member correct?
Thanks again for your help. I really do want to use eMember for this since I’m used to it and it connects so nicely with eStore!

bentley74MemberThanks for your help!
This sounds like it might work.
The idea here is that these add-ons would be independent of the main membership (i.e you wouldn’t need another membership level in order to qualify to purchase the products – apart from marketing them to existing members I would want to sell them independently as well).
Perhaps I would need to create separate order buttons for these two situations?
July 11, 2016 at 2:06 pm in reply to: How to let customers select which payment to use upon checkout for subscription #68116bentley74MemberRelating to Stripe subscriptions – like Paypal, is it possible to create a larger initial payment, followed by a smaller monthly charge?
Thanks

bentley74MemberGreat info – glad you wrote about this.
It says a change is required for the IPN verification issue – so I guess this just means I need to make sure I am using the latest version of eStore?
Also – while unrelated to eStore, it is telling me they are unable to determine “if my systems are SHA-256 compatible”. Seems to be something related to SSL.
Does this mean we now need to have SSL in place in order to even use paypal on a site?
Thanks for your help!

November 3, 2015 at 9:39 pm in reply to: eStore subscription (with Stripe and payment gateway bundle) with startup fee #71594bentley74MemberI configured it in the usual way (as I would for a Paypal subscription). The initial payment is $47 – I just added this as the trial amount – and then $4.97/mo. On the Stripe checkout page it seemed to indicate that this is how it would be charged.
Any plans to incorporate BrainTree recurring payments?
I really need to get something aside from Paypal in place.
Also – are you still planning to add something for Stripe (as mentioned above)?
November 2, 2015 at 12:46 pm in reply to: eStore subscription (with Stripe and payment gateway bundle) with startup fee #71592bentley74MemberCan someone provide an update for this feature, please? Has it been added now – or is it still a work-in-progress?
As mentioned, it LOOKED like it was working (ie on checkout page it showed the initial payment + the future monthly payments). But I have not allowed any purchases to go through yet.
Thanks
October 30, 2015 at 4:13 pm in reply to: eStore subscription (with Stripe and payment gateway bundle) with startup fee #71591bentley74MemberI second this request! This is critical for one of my membership products.
That being said…
I recently installed the plugin (within the last week) and set up a button using the usual trial payment option as I normally would.
When I clicked through and ended up on what would be the payment page it DID seem to be indicating that there was a one-time payment + a different monthly payment.
Does this mean you have added the update already?
Thanks
October 30, 2015 at 4:08 pm in reply to: Do I need a SSL Certificate to use WP eStore with Stripe via the Gateway bundle? #71661bentley74MemberInteresting topic (something I too was wondering about once I noticed that the CC page was going to be on my own site)!
Pretty sure you can use a free service like Cloudflare (which also has more robust paid options) to establish SSL on your website. And it has other perks as well.
October 26, 2015 at 6:08 pm in reply to: WP Affiliate + WP eStore + Paypal Subscription button not working #71706bentley74MemberLooks like it was already enabled, but I have reset it (so as to have a fresh record) and I will get someone to help me test an affiliate purchase.
Once the purchase has been made what is the next step?
Thanks

bentley74MemberI have had customers reporting similar issues: “failed security check” msg when they try to login. It’s not every time by any means, and when the most recent one tried again it worked for him.
Just wondering what might be causing this? No caching plugin on this particular site.
When he tried password reset it said “undefined”
bentley74MemberOk – very interesting! I installed PDF Stamper on an add-on domain of the exact same site where the big error is happening (when Stamper is activated on that site). And the add-on site works fine. I then upgraded the add-on to WP 3.8.1 (what the main site was upgraded to recently) and other than eMember going a bit wonky (need to update to latest version I suspect) the add-on site remains intact without error.
Could this have resulted from a plugin conflict or something like that? Again, min requirements are there. Other sites that are add-ons of main site are fine.
This (again) was the original error:
Site error: the file /public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-pdf-
stamper/pdf_stamper_configs.php requires the ionCube PHP Loader ioncube_loader_lin_5.2.so to be installed by the site administrator
Thanks guys!
bentley74MemberWow – not sure how I missed that!
Thanks – and I will let you know what happens when I test on the add-on domain
bentley74MemberThanks (tried again hours later and still no luck with activating on another site).
Just to clarify – the site where I am seeing the PDF stamper error is the main domain in one particular hosting account. My other stamper installations are/were in other hosting accounts (exact same accounts – but different servers) – they seem to be working perfectly fine still. What I am HOPING to try is installing PDF stamper in one of the add-on sites attached to the site having issues (and this is why I need to get one of my current licenses released from the site it used to be on).
