    Hi Guys

I was having some issues with eMember so I upgraded to the latest version, but now no members are able to access the protected content, even though every membership page has their access level checked off.

Another thing I’ve never understood is why, as admin, I can’t just view pages, add comments etc. Why do I need to log in separately as a member in order to do this (even though I am logged into WP dashboard). Wishlist operates this way and I find it to be more convenient.

Anyway – it’s the first concern that is obviously the major issue right now.

Any assistance you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Bentley

Go through the following checklist which will help:

    https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/wp-emember-content-protection-not-working-common-mistakes

emember will ALWAYS apply protection according to the eMember user (because permission is attached to the emember’s membership level).

I will take a look at this, but keep in mind this membership has been up and running for years now with no issues. It was literally ONLY after I upgraded to the latest version today that the content was no longer accessible.

LOL – ok, I figured it out the instant after I wrote my reply. And your advice was indeed on target! For some reason the update must have reset the universal “access to” settings – when I looked, ALL of them were unchecked.

All good now. Thanks for your help!
