Hi Guys,
When I visited my main site this morning I was greeted by this error msg (only thing visible):
Site error: the file /public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-pdf-stamper/pdf_stamper_configs.php requires the ionCube PHP Loader ioncube_loader_lin_5.2.so to be installed by the site administrator
Can you explain what this means? This is the latest version of PDF stamper and it was working perfectly up until today.
Thanks
B
April 2, 2014 at 10:11 pm #62050wzpModeratorIs IonCube still installed on your site? Maybe you placed the IonCube library inside the plugin directory, and forgot about it when you upgraded the plugin…
Or your hosting provider had applied changes to your server and the ioncube loader is no longer working correctly.
April 3, 2014 at 4:26 am #62051bentley74MemberWhile I have heard of ioncube, I certainly haven’t ever done anything with it. Perhaps your second suggestion is the one I should be looking into.
Thanks
Bentley
April 3, 2014 at 4:29 am #62052adminKeymasterUse the minimum requirements checker plugin to verify if the Ioncube loader is working on your site. The stamper plugin can’t work without the Ioncube loader.
April 3, 2014 at 2:16 pm #62053bentley74MemberVery interesting – thanks for the additional tip! It claims everything is sufficient for the plugin to run. Still same error when I activate it, though.
April 3, 2014 at 2:33 pm #62054bentley74MemberAnother important question. I am attempting to test the plugin on another site (an add-on domain in same account as site where troubles encountered). I have 3 stamper licenses – but when I deactivate and delete from one of my sites and then install on another site (using that license key) it always says “invalid license”. Is there SOME easier way to move this plugin from site to site than having to contact support every time in need a license deactivated for a given website?
April 3, 2014 at 4:58 pm #62055wzpModeratorHow long have you been waiting, between deactivation and reactivation of a license?
April 3, 2014 at 5:07 pm #62056bentley74MemberFor this most recent attempt, it was not long at all. How long should it take?
Thanks
April 3, 2014 at 5:28 pm #62057wzpModeratorApril 4, 2014 at 2:59 am #62058bentley74MemberThanks (tried again hours later and still no luck with activating on another site).
Just to clarify – the site where I am seeing the PDF stamper error is the main domain in one particular hosting account. My other stamper installations are/were in other hosting accounts (exact same accounts – but different servers) – they seem to be working perfectly fine still. What I am HOPING to try is installing PDF stamper in one of the add-on sites attached to the site having issues (and this is why I need to get one of my current licenses released from the site it used to be on).
April 4, 2014 at 3:31 am #62059adminKeymasterThere is a deactivate button in the product license menu that you can use to deactivate/reset a license. I have sent you an email so you can reply to me with the license number so I can reset it manually.
April 4, 2014 at 3:37 am #62060bentley74MemberWow – not sure how I missed that!
Thanks – and I will let you know what happens when I test on the add-on domain
April 4, 2014 at 11:26 am #62061bentley74MemberOk – very interesting! I installed PDF Stamper on an add-on domain of the exact same site where the big error is happening (when Stamper is activated on that site). And the add-on site works fine. I then upgraded the add-on to WP 3.8.1 (what the main site was upgraded to recently) and other than eMember going a bit wonky (need to update to latest version I suspect) the add-on site remains intact without error.
Could this have resulted from a plugin conflict or something like that? Again, min requirements are there. Other sites that are add-ons of main site are fine.
This (again) was the original error:
Site error: the file /public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-pdf-
stamper/pdf_stamper_configs.php requires the ionCube PHP Loader ioncube_loader_lin_5.2.so to be installed by the site administrator
Thanks guys!
April 5, 2014 at 4:26 am #62062adminKeymasterWhenever PHP encounters an IonCube encoded file and it doesn’t have the IonCube decoder, it will show that message. So it is not something we can really address in the plugin. Something had to change on this site for the IonCube loader to be a little messed up. I just don’t know what.
April 5, 2014 at 1:07 pm #62063wzpModeratorAlso, does each domain and subdomain have their own copy of IonCube installed?
