I followed one of the above checklists and changing the download method to method 6 seems to do the trick. I had it set to download method 1. Changing to method 2 also resulted in 0 byte file size. Method 6 works when I test an encrypted link.
What would cause the change all of a sudden. Does upgrading my hosting package change the download methods?
okgoodMemberI recently upgrading my hosting package … could that have something to do with it? I am using the same provider, but upgraded to allow me to host more sites?
okgoodMemberHere’s what the download_manager_debug.log file says for the last attempt
[07/13/2012 11:02 PM] – Status : Unresolved DL file path = http://www.???.net/quarantine/gTyRePo4/X.zip

[07/13/2012 11:02 PM] – Status : Dispatching DL method = 1
When I go to admin page and generate an encrypted link for download, the link it creates doesn’t work !?!
okgoodMemberWhat this ever implemented? I would like to display a list of members who are above the “free” membership level. And I only want to display their usernames.
okgoodMemberYes, I cast my vote too for more shortcodes for displaying members.
I would like to be able to display all members of a certain level (i.e., I do not want to display my “free” members, but I do want to show those who have paid for the next level. In my case this would be the only other level).
Also, I don’t want to show emails, nor names, just their usernames.
okgoodMemberComplex problems sometimes have simple solutions. Thank you so much!
okgoodMemberOK. Thanks again for all your help.
okgoodMemberAny tips on building this custom module to check the eStore customer database? This seems like the simple option, but I also think purchasing eMember would give me some additional features that I can already think of how to implement. Before going down that road though, I would love to have some tips/hints on checking the eStore customer database for when users register on my site.
Thank you very much for any help you could provide on this …

okgoodMemberThat’s exactly what I want to accomplish too. Basically, by purchasing one of my digital download products, you are automatically made a member of a certain level, which gives you access to certain parts of the site, such as tech support. In other words, the 1st level of membership (above level 0, which is FREE, non member) is “paying customer”. After that, these paying customers could even upgrade their membership to GOLD or something like that, buy purchasing the upgrade, but I want to make the transition from FREE to “paying customer” membership status EASY by making it automatic for them (i.e., they wouldn’t need to register to be a member since they just paid for and downloaded a product). Hope this makes sense!?!
okgoodMemberAnd the error messages:

okgoodMemberI just requested and received an automatic update and then installed it, then de/reactivated the plugin. I received the following error messages when creating my new product:

The URL specified in the “Button Image URL” field does not seem to be a valid URL! Please check this value again:

You can add a new product or edit an existing product from this interface. When creating a new product you can choose to copy the details from an existing product too (see the option below). This option is helpful when creating multiple products with similar details.
okgoodMemberJust wanted to add the following:
1/ No, I did not recently upgrade versions
2/ Just to see if it would help, I deactivated, then reactivated, with no change to problem
From reading your troubleshooting site, it seems that there is a problem with creating tables or blank tables, but how do I fix this myself. Do you need to jump on my server?
Thanks.

July 1, 2010 at 10:01 am in reply to: Download link not showing … Download not working … DOWNLOAD MANAGER #22047okgoodMember@amin007 I have a zip file for download. I have requested the update, but I’m curious to know if the update will fix both issues:
1) The download link is not appearing in some customer’s Thank You page
2) The download link does not work for those who have download manager
