Hello,
I’ve been using your eStore product for 2 years now. I love it.
About a week ago all my customers have been complaining that their downloadable zip files have been empty. The only thing I can think of that changed is that I upgraded my hosting provider’s service package. I can’t think of how this might have changed any settings, but I don’t know where to start to troubleshoot. Can you please help?
Thanks,
Chris

July 8, 2012 at 6:36 pm #46839Lm1MemberI don’t know if your zips are large but i had the same issues until i moved the downloads to the Amazon s3 service as it seems shared hosting can’t cope and moving the downloads to s3 solved all my problems.

[07/13/2012 11:02 PM] – Status : Unresolved DL file path = http://www.???.net/quarantine/gTyRePo4/X.zip
[07/13/2012 11:02 PM] – Status : Resolved DL file path = ../../../quarantine/gTyRePo4/X.zip
[07/13/2012 11:02 PM] – Status : Dispatching DL method = 1
When I go to admin page and generate an encrypted link for download, the link it creates doesn’t work !?!
July 15, 2012 at 7:29 pm #46841okgoodMemberI recently upgrading my hosting package … could that have something to do with it? I am using the same provider, but upgraded to allow me to host more sites?
July 16, 2012 at 12:36 am #46842IvyMemberMake sure you go through the following checklist:
https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/downloaded-file-size-is-0-zero-byte
Some thing on your site would have had to changed as the plugin can not just stop working. The following forum post maybe of some help:
Please make sure you are using a fresh build of the plugin on your site.

July 17, 2012 at 8:43 pm #46843okgoodMemberI followed one of the above checklists and changing the download method to method 6 seems to do the trick. I had it set to download method 1. Changing to method 2 also resulted in 0 byte file size. Method 6 works when I test an encrypted link.
What would cause the change all of a sudden. Does upgrading my hosting package change the download methods?
July 18, 2012 at 12:40 am #46844IvyMemberThe different download methods are for different server configurations. When you changed hosting the sever configuration of the new server was most likely different.
I am glad that method 6 worked for you and this is working again.
