I’m creating a college recruiting site and was wondering if it was possible to display the profiles by playing position? It is a required field on the registration form. Also, I don’t want any of the personal information displayed on the public profile list. I have this short code on the page: [wp_eMember_user_list no_email=1] and want to know how to add other information so it won’t display on the public profile list : [wp_eMember_user_list no_email=1, no_address=2] -maybe?
Thanks!

Hi, As far as I’m aware eMember currently doesn’t have the type of display options for the public profile listing you are asking about.
Whether such functionality is worth putting in as a feature is up to Admin to decide
April 30, 2012 at 10:46 am #44545johnw1965MemberLet me add another vote to putting more display options into the public profile listing feature.
It’s such a good version 1 feature which would be greatly improved with a few options to allow us to filter and sort the output on just about any field.

April 30, 2012 at 9:44 pm #44547Kristen RobinsonMemberDo you recommend any apps to display the member’s information? Right now, I’m using Connections [http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/connections/] and it doesn’t play well with WP eMember. I’d like to be able
for the users to register on the website using WP eMember and have their profile displayed on the website. Also, I’d like the user
to be able to edit their profile. I get 2 our of 3 using WP eMember. I was hoping there was another plugin I could use instead of Connections.
May 1, 2012 at 12:58 am #44548Kristen RobinsonMemberIs it possible to add more than one shortcode on the public profile to disable other fields shown publicly? I would like to have the username now shown as well.
May 1, 2012 at 7:05 am #44549adminKeymasterAt the moment the public profile listing feature doesn’t do anything other than what is shown on our documentation:
http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wordpress-membership/how-to-use-public-profile-listing-276
If there is enough interest then we will put development time and add more shortcodes for this feature.
May 4, 2012 at 3:08 pm #44550tecdacMemberI cast my vote for more functionality.
I am currently trying to get the member profile detail page to work.
I have the member listings working OK but when you click on the user name nothing happens.
Her it is in the test environment:

I cast my vote too.
I’d love to see more shortcodes to make this feature as flexible and versatile as possible.
In particular I’d love to be able to filter the results via multiple criteria e.g. by active/inactive members then by state and member level.
Our current members list looks like this (non-Wordpress)
I’m trying to convert this to WP eMember. The members area itself works great but the Public Profile page doesn’t yet offer the filtering and sorting features we need.
May 15, 2012 at 8:48 pm #44552okgoodMemberYes, I cast my vote too for more shortcodes for displaying members.
I would like to be able to display all members of a certain level (i.e., I do not want to display my “free” members, but I do want to show those who have paid for the next level. In my case this would be the only other level).
Also, I don’t want to show emails, nor names, just their usernames.
May 31, 2012 at 9:51 am #44553RonvdSchaafMemberI also cast my vote for more shortcodes for displaying members.
Especially the choice of which fields to display.
June 1, 2012 at 12:33 am #44554adminKeymasterwe are looking into it.
June 16, 2012 at 3:28 am #44555adminKeymasterWe have released a new eMember AddOn for this:
http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wordpress-membership/wp-emember-profile-display-extended-addon-599
June 16, 2012 at 4:37 am #44556johnw1965MemberThanks for the AddOn. It’s a helpful start.
The “eMember Profile Extended Addon Usage” link to the PDF is broken.
Should be
Any way of filtering these results so we can
1) list only active, subscribed members? Listing all members is of no use to me.
2) list active members on a per state basis?
June 17, 2012 at 1:25 am #44557adminKeymasterThank you. Corrected the file link. I will look into the filtering suggestion.
