Just to doublecheck – put 50% in the Additional Product Details -> Product Specific Commission -> Primary Commission (and leave the 2nd tier commission empty)?
Thanks.
kimmyMemberthank you!
kimmyMemberHere’s another related question. I have one product that will give a 70% commission, but then the upsell product (a second product that the customer gets directed to after the pruchase of the first product -I’m using Buy Now buttons) for that same affiliate needs to be 50%. How do I set that up?

kimmyMemberI figured out the problem!! One thing I find that when you go to download any of the links that are on the pages or emails that a customer receives, it is not obvious that a download is occurring. I found the missing download on my computer, so it was downloading.

kimmyMemberThanks very much. I made the changes.
kimmyMemberThank you. The problem was with #2. I was missing the .com of my email address.
One thing I noticed though is that the email that the affiliate gets immediately after signing up looks like this:
“Thank you for registering with us. Here are your login details…
User ID: theid
Email: theemailaddress.com
Password: lsiwldk
You can Log into the system at the following URL:
http://www.thedomain.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-affiliate-platform/affiliates/login.php
Please log into your account to get banners and view your real-time statistics.
Payment to affiliates occurs on the 15th of the following month. Purchase of products with your own affiliate link will be reversed.”
That is one long affiliate login URL. I don’t want the affiliate URL to appear like that. I have set up an OnPage Affiliate Area, that people can access by going to http://www.mydomain.com/affiliates. i tested it and sign-up can occur there.
The affiliate login URL in the General Settings section is still listed as: http://www.mydomain.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-affiliate-platform/affiliates/login.php
I have reviewed this post: http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wordpress-affiliate/how-to-changecustomize-the-url-of-the-affiliate-view-42
What do I do now to make what I want to have happen happen? Would it be easier if I sent a private email to someone so you can see my domain?
kimmyMemberOkay, I have two different emails in both locations, as specified in the link in the above post. I’m still not being notified. What now?
kimmyMemberThank you.

Thanks for your response. I guess that’s the way I’ll have to do it then for now. The only problem was that I will have multiple products, and I wanted to use the shopping cart. With the Buy Now buttons the customer has to pay for each product separately, which could be a negative for the customer (and me, profit-wise).
kimmyMemberGot it. Thanks.
kimmyMemberI think I found it. The Products Page URL is what page I want to have displayed when the Continue Shopping link is clicked, correct?
kimmyMemberWhen people then get to my download page, is there a way to prevent theft of the files, because the files won’t be secure that way, will they? thanks for all your help.
kimmyMemberThank you! So this will then allow me to have separate download pages for each product?
