Hi, I just read this post, because I too am not receiving notification of new affiliate sign-ups. https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/not-being-notified-of-affiliate-signups
Problem is where do I find the option that I be notified of new affiliate sign-up? I’m using version 4.9.2
Thanks.
*Ignore my question – found it in General Settings -Sorry about that.
January 26, 2012 at 4:02 am #41241kimmyMemberOkay, I have two different emails in both locations, as specified in the link in the above post. I’m still not being notified. What now?
January 26, 2012 at 7:21 am #41242IvyMember1. Make sure you have the following option checked in the Affiliate settings: Send Signup Notification to Admin:
2. What value do you have in your from email address (in the email setting tab of the Affiliate)?
3. What Affiliate view are you using?
January 27, 2012 at 3:39 am #41243kimmyMemberThank you. The problem was with #2. I was missing the .com of my email address.
One thing I noticed though is that the email that the affiliate gets immediately after signing up looks like this:
“Thank you for registering with us. Here are your login details…
User ID: theid
Email: theemailaddress.com
Password: lsiwldk
You can Log into the system at the following URL:
http://www.thedomain.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-affiliate-platform/affiliates/login.php
Please log into your account to get banners and view your real-time statistics.
Payment to affiliates occurs on the 15th of the following month. Purchase of products with your own affiliate link will be reversed.”
That is one long affiliate login URL. I don’t want the affiliate URL to appear like that. I have set up an OnPage Affiliate Area, that people can access by going to http://www.mydomain.com/affiliates. i tested it and sign-up can occur there.
The affiliate login URL in the General Settings section is still listed as: http://www.mydomain.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-affiliate-platform/affiliates/login.php
I have reviewed this post: http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wordpress-affiliate/how-to-changecustomize-the-url-of-the-affiliate-view-42
What do I do now to make what I want to have happen happen? Would it be easier if I sent a private email to someone so you can see my domain?
January 27, 2012 at 6:21 am #41244adminKeymasterBoth of these URLs will work fine so just use the shorter one everywhere:
http://www.example.com/affiliates
or
http://www.example.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-affiliate-platform/affiliates/login.php
