Create Thank You/Download Page With Upsell

Hi, I am looking at the Wp estore Settings. It appears that after someone pays via Paypal, an email is sent to the customer with the encrypted download link. Is that correct?

What I would like to have is that the customer gets directed to a secure download/thank you page after paying through Paypal. On that page, I’m going to include an upsell offer, which the customer can then agree to purchase or opt out at the bottom of the page and then be directed to the download page where the products are. Is there a way to do that using Wp estore, and if so, please direct me on how to do it please. Thanks!

Pay particular attention to the enabling of PDT in your Paypal profile and also specifying the “PDT Identity Token” in the eStore configuration.

Okay. I guess that will work in some cases. I don’t think that will quite work for me still. I read this: https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/multiple-thank-you-return-pages I will have a different upsell for each product, and therefore think I will need a different thank you page for each upsell. It appears that I will not be able to do this though. Any ideas of what others do or have done instead?

If you want to use multiple different “Thank You” page for different products then you will need to use the “Buy Now” type buttons.

eStore lets you configure product specific “Thank You” page in the “Buy Now and Subscription Button” specific section of a product.

Thank you. I may do that instead. As I’m still trying to figure out what method will work best for my site, I have one more question.

You know how the Thank you page has encrypted download links. Do these download links lead to the files or a download page? If they lead to files, is it possible for me to make the links go to download pages instead? This is what I envision:

Thank You Page (NOT the upsell, yet) — On the thank you page is the download link at the bottom

Download page IS the upsell

If they buy, they’re taken a “combined” download page with my product that they’ve just bought AND the upsell on the same page

If they decline the upsell, they just click “No Thanks…” at the bottom, and are taken to the Download page with just the product they’ve just bought (which also has the sales info about the upsell for those who change their mind later)

Yeah, in your eStore product enter the URL of the page and uncheck “Downloadable”. This will make it so the encrypted link of the product will simply redirect the customer to the page URL that you specify.

Thank you! So this will then allow me to have separate download pages for each product?

When people then get to my download page, is there a way to prevent theft of the files, because the files won’t be secure that way, will they? thanks for all your help.

Why won’t the files be secure? The links will only show up after a purchase (if you directly go to the thank you page without making a purchase there will be nothing there).
