Amin, that would help me a great deal if you can do that. Thanks!

GraphicBassMemberAhh, but you see, I have so much confidence in your plugin that I unthinkingly assumed it would take care of such pesky details as reprogramming Paypal to do something it normally could not! : )
Thanks for the reply. Admittedly, I placed the discount hurriedly without thinking it through or testing it. When I noticed my customer did not get the discount, it occurred to me that it was a shopping cart-only type of thing, hence my question.
But thanks for confirming.
I normally only use BIN, since my product is a “one-shot” purchase. For future “sales” I’ll set up a separate purchase page with the”Add to Cart” button.

GraphicBassMemberAhh, found it. Buried deep inside the plugin folder. Thanks for the tip, although you might want to put it in the docs somewhere, as I couldn’t find any reference to it.
Thanks!

GraphicBassMemberI kind of figured Paypal options were disabled, since I’m not creating the button, but handling it through eStore.
I’m not sure I understand your second paragraph, so I’ll poke around Paypal and see what I can set up.
My purpose is that I maintain a list on the site of companies that have purchased the product, and it’s more effective using the company name, rather than “Joe Smith”.
Thanks!

April 22, 2010 at 11:11 am in reply to: Display Differed "restricted content" message depending on content #19861GraphicBassMemberThat’s a good idea, and I will do it.
I’ll think about how I can accomplish what I want (or an alternative) with member levels.
Thanks!

April 21, 2010 at 11:19 pm in reply to: Display Differed "restricted content" message depending on content #19859GraphicBassMemberI guess what I’m looking to do is this:
To those who have not registered at all: “You must be a registered member of this site or purchase something to view this content.”
To those who have registered but not purchased, but their registration is the “free” level I offer: “In order to view this premium content you must purchase something…”
And, of course, perhaps another message to purchasers trying to access content they have not purchased: “Your current purchases do not permit you to view this content.”
Possible?
Thanks!

GraphicBassMemberAmin, it worked like a charm. Now I can get rid of all that clunky Paypal HTML button code!
Thanks!

April 20, 2010 at 4:24 am in reply to: Membership Levels Not Saving/Deleting Member Level Resets All Levels #19832GraphicBassMemberIvy, you’re the best! Thanks!
The proper levels are displaying for everyone.
One non-urgent question, just for my own curiosity: I’m trying to understanding how the “Add Existing WordPress Members” function works.
I would expect that once added to the WP eMember database, members would no longer display on this list.
Not a big deal, as all members from here on out will come through the plugin, but this has cause me much consternation….
Anyway, thanks for your help.

April 19, 2010 at 3:32 pm in reply to: Membership Levels Not Saving/Deleting Member Level Resets All Levels #19830GraphicBassMemberOK, I found the e-mail from Ivy with updates to eStore (and Affiliate). Thanks — it went to another inbox and I missed it the first time around.
I applied the upload, but there is no change to the membership level. I still cannot change the membership level for each member to the correct one (or at least, if it’s right in the database, it doesn’t show in the screen). Same for the active/inactive status.
I’ve had to take down my file download page until this is resolved, otherwise, member have access to files they did not pay for, and conversely, don’t have access to the files they did pay for.
Waiting for more ideas.
Thanks!

April 19, 2010 at 2:50 pm in reply to: Membership Levels Not Saving/Deleting Member Level Resets All Levels #19829GraphicBassMemberThanks for the response, Admin.
===
When you delete a membership level it should only delete the membership level data from the members who belonged to that level (making it empty).
===
Which is what I would expect it to do. But ALL members’ levels changed to the same level. I have 24 different levels, depending on what product was purchased, and I know not all of them purchased the same thing…. heh!
I did not receive an email from you. I received one from Ivy (was that the e-mail?) with a link to the update file, which I applied.
After installing the update, still no luck changing a saving the membership level, or the active/inactive status. It gives an error message (‘unable to save…” or simply does nothing except refresh the screen with no changes.
Ideas?
Thanks!

GraphicBassMemberTo answer your questions:
1) The shortcode is placed on a Page.
2) I used this code, from above:
[wp_eStore_buy_now_custom_button id=4 button=http://URL_TO_MY_IMAGE]
Not criticizing your suggestion about the php executor; just seems all such plugins come with dire warning about using them in posts or pages. Widgets do seem to be more stable.
GraphicBassMemberI’m circling around back to this issue.
I requested and installed the update, and tried using the shortcode above with a locally-hosted image.
WP still only displays the actual text of the shortcode.
I don’t really want to use a PHP executable plugin — seems a great way to break the site.
Is there a more recent version of WP eStore even than 3.02?
Ideas?
My text only links are working now through ejunkie.com, but not tied into the WP eStore and WP eMember plugins to accomplish the post-processing I want to do on orders.
Thanks

GraphicBassMemberReceived and returned. Thanks!

GraphicBassMemberHi,
Yes, the URL has no embedded spaces. I habitually use hyphens when I need separation, but I did verify.
I usually do not use “www” in my URLs, as my host can parse with or without. I added the “www” but no luck.
This is the shortcode I am using…
[wp_eStore_download_now_button id=17]
The ID is good.
Noting the blank space in the shortcode, I tried using it with an underscore, but this breaks the shortcode.
I moved a few files into the plugins “download” directory to try that, but it generated an “invalid product request” error.
Ideas?
