Hi, I’ve downloaded and installed the updated WP eStore plugin (version 4.9.0 in “Settings” although the ReadMe says 4.5.5) and the “Extra Shortcodes for WPeStore” plus after deactivating and re-activating.
I then created a test page using the “Custom Button Image Add to Cart” shortcode like this:
[wp_eStore_add_to_cart_custom_button id=7 button=http://youremployeehandbook.com/images/common/add_to_cart.gif]
at:
http://youremployeehandbook.com/news/order-now-alt/
As you can see, the shortcode doesn’t seem to work.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

GraphicBassMemberThanks for letting me know. Sorry I’ve been late to check back in — been out of town.

GraphicBassMemberThanks!
GraphicBassMemberAny idea on when a card shortcode for the button image ovverride might be incorporated?
Thanks!
gary
GraphicBassMemberExcellent — that will work for the time being and help me get rid of the cumbersome Paypal code.
I would definitely like to have the override shortcode for “add to cart”, as I’m converting all the sales links to cart, rather than BIN.
Thanks!

GraphicBassMemberI would hate to ask you for that, since, not being a programmer, I have no idea how involved it would be to add code. If it’s relatively simple and you choose to do it, I would appreciate it. If it’s not simple, perhaps I can pay for your time.
The other idea that occurs to me is to have a way to override the Button Image URL. I am currently using that field for my regular sales page order links, which is not appropriate for where I want to use the text links. So I would create a new, smaller and more compact graphic for use on that page, IF I have a way to override the first setting.
My last option is to create a new product, identical to the first, that specifies the new graphic. Since I have 18 different products, that’s a bunch of time.
Comments?
Thanks!

GraphicBassMemberWell, now I feel like a real idiot for not thinking of that solution myself. My only excuse is that I wrote my post late at night!
Thanks!

GraphicBassMemberFailing adding this to the core plugin, can you tell me which file generates the shopping cart, and I’ll hard-code a banner into it as needed while I wait for this feature to be added.
gary
GraphicBassMemberCool! Not exactly a priority type of thing, but most appreciated. I’ll request an upgrade.

GraphicBassMemberAmin, have you added this feature to the plug-in yet? I was just thinking of how to add a banner or sorts to encourage up-sales and cross-sales at checkout, and this seems like it would be perfect.
I’ve requested an update for various other things I noticed on the boards — hopefully this is one of your many improvements.

BTW: I’ve been using eStore, Affiliate Platform and the Membership plugins for almost a year. They’re rock-solid (once you get the settings right) and add an incredible amount of functionality for the price!
GraphicBassMemberOK, the update fixed the registration/log-in widget and I was able to create a test account.
I received the welcome email to the email address I entered when I registered, and then the admin notifications of sign-up. So it seems everything is working properly.
Can’t figure why emails from 10/1 were returned because of no sender, but I’ll look into it more. Any ideas you have are welcome.

GraphicBassMemberOK, thanks. WIll do.

GraphicBassMemberTrying to make a “test” account presented a new problem.
Using the login widget, when I click “Join Us” results in this URL: http://youremployeehandbook.com/news/member-logout/.$join_url and a 404 error.
How can I fix this so I (and others) can create an account?
Thanks!
gary
GraphicBassMemberYup, first thing I checked.
The correct URL is in the “pages” section of the Settings menu. When I paste it into the address line in the browser window, it works fine. Just not from the registration link in the login widget.
My “join” page, just in case the “.$join_url” variable is looking for that, is properly set up as well, and works when folks are directed there when clicking “Join Us” on a restricted content notice page.
Oh, it’s been a few months…probable time for an update.
Thanks.

GraphicBassMemberThanks very much Amin. This will help in revitalizing my list of past purchasers. Your customer service makes you a gem among plugin developers!
