January 9, 2015 at 3:55 am in reply to: WP eMember & WooCommerce – adding new level to existing member #67868futuremakersMemberAh! I didn’t know that existed, but now that I do, I have managed to solve the problem. Thank you!
Just in case anyone else has a similar problem, here was my problem & solution:
My debug files indicated that the status would be updated on purchase COMPLETION (in WooCommerce), and it turned out that my orders weren’t auto-completing.
I installed and configured the WooCommerce Autocomplete Order plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-autocomplete-order/) and voila! All sorted!
Thanks very much for your guidance.

futuremakersMemberOoh, ooh! Solved, I think! What one needs to do is make an additional change in WP eMember as per this page:
Using eMember with Another Plugin That Uses the WordPress User Roles
and this section (right at the bottom):
Auto Create an eMember Account When a WP User is Created by Another Plugin
Thank you, thank you. I love eMember!!
Have a wonderful weekend!
Suzanne
futuremakersMemberThanks. I go through this page previously, but my confusion arises (arose) because the user creates a username in WordPress when they buy the product through WooCommerce. They then get the email from eMember asking them to confirm their registration.
From what you are saying, I’m understanding that even though the user already already has an account on WordPress, including a username, when theu click the “confirm registration link:, they have to enter a new username and password again.
Is that correct?
What happens if this username and password is in conflict with the username and password?
Best as always.

October 14, 2014 at 11:26 am in reply to: Sliders not working with eMember enabled with Avada theme #66064futuremakersMemberHello,
This is just a quick update. It turns out that this is some very odd issue with the Avada child theme – something to do with it not picking up CSS etc. Just in case this helps anyone, there is a detailed breakdown on how I resolved this on the Avada forum.
Thanks so much for your help!
October 14, 2014 at 1:03 am in reply to: Sliders not working with eMember enabled with Avada theme #66063futuremakersMemberHi,
I’ve actually turned the slider off to narrow down the problem – if you look at [http://st.rasaru.com/], you’ll see that below the newsletter sign-up area in the top image area, a shortcode for the revolution slider appears below. That should be appearing on the right hand side of the newsletter thing as it’s columns. For some reason, when I turn eMember on, it breaks these columns, and I think that this is the root of my troubles!
I have a suspicion that this is a theme issue, so not to worry – let me follow up with the theme folks and see if they can provide any insights.
Best as always,
Suzanne
October 13, 2014 at 11:55 pm in reply to: Sliders not working with eMember enabled with Avada theme #66061futuremakersMemberHello,
Yes, Ivy kindly sent me the latest version this morning, and I removed the old eMember and uploaded the latest version just in case.
I’ve also tried removing / deactivating all plugins on the site apart from the core theme requirements (a visual builder thing called Fusion Core) and WP eMember, so I think that the conflict is between WP eMember and Fusion Core, although not sure where.
If you have any ideas, I’d be grateful. I’ve also written to the theme developer in case it’s on the Fusion Core side, and will update my little thread here if I get a solution, in case it helps anyone.

July 24, 2014 at 8:06 pm in reply to: WP Emember – make upgrade starting at end of current subscription #64569futuremakersMemberHello,
Thanks for the reply.
The subscription duration for the promotional subscription is 456 Days (odd number, I know, but +- 15 months).
We’re using it with eStore, and people are making a one-time payment.
Version is v8.6.6, as far as I can see.
More information:
I think that I know what the problem is. These people are all a membership subscription called Adult + Bonus. If people renew early, they aren’t renewing that membership (as it was a special offer), but are instead purchasing a subscription called “Annual”.
This means, I think, that the system is moving them from Adult+ Bonus to Annual, and starting the Annual membership from the date they buy the subscription.
I think that this isn’t starting at the end of the existing subscription because it’s not a renewal, but the purchase of a new type of membership (as far as the system is concerned).
Does this make sense and does this sound like it might be the problem?
If so, I don’t think that there is an automatic way to get around this, do you?
Best as always,
Suzanne
futuremakersMemberHi there,
Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but where can I find the add-on that allows me to set specific commissions for WooCommerce?
Thanks so much!

July 13, 2013 at 12:12 am in reply to: eStore – manual checkout not adding to customers or sending emails #56532futuremakersMemberHello,
So sorry – I completely missed that re adding things to the customers area. Sorry!
I’ll turn on the debug and have a look. The emails are going to the customer (notification of new customer) but not the end-user, so I shall test.
I hope I’ll be able to sort it out on my own but if not… I’ll be back

June 5, 2013 at 10:57 am in reply to: eMember: Custom fields not saving when contain apostrophe #55936futuremakersMemberHi again,
Just a quick check in to see if you’ve had any luck with working out what the bug is and how I might resolve it.
This is the only issue that we can’t resolve and it means we can’t go live, and I’ve love to finish this project and hand it over. It’s been a long one
I know we’re in different timezones, so no stress. Just thought I’d check in.

I’ve still not received it for some reason but I did send a support email with the details for you, lovely “key master” with no name
It should be in your support inbox.
Thanks for helping me with this. It’s driving me batty!
