Hi there,
I’ve read through your various posts on Javascript errors, so forgive me for double-checking with you to make sure that I’m approaching the right folks.
On my test site – [http://st.rasaru.com/coach/] – all works well until I add WP eMember, which then results in a conflict that breaks my sliders and some of the shortcodes on the site.
I’ve had a look at the console in Firefox as per your instructions and it says:
TypeError: a.browser is undefined
…ast”, effect: “default”, fixed: !a.browser.msie || a.browser.version > 6, left: …
jquery….r=8.9.1 (line 281, col 111)
Can I just double-check that this isn’t something to do with WP eMember? I’ll write to the theme developer as well, but just want to make sure I’m contacting the right person.
Just for information:
> I’ve just updated eMember to the latest version
> The theme I am using is Avada (latest version)
If it’s an Avada question, just shout and I shall post on their site.
Have a lovely day!
Suzanne
October 13, 2014 at 11:35 pm #66060adminKeymasterHi Suzanne, Do you still see the issue after doing the following?
https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/re-install-or-load-a-fresh-build-of-the-plugins
October 13, 2014 at 11:55 pm #66061futuremakersMemberHello,
Yes, Ivy kindly sent me the latest version this morning, and I removed the old eMember and uploaded the latest version just in case.
I’ve also tried removing / deactivating all plugins on the site apart from the core theme requirements (a visual builder thing called Fusion Core) and WP eMember, so I think that the conflict is between WP eMember and Fusion Core, although not sure where.
If you have any ideas, I’d be grateful. I’ve also written to the theme developer in case it’s on the Fusion Core side, and will update my little thread here if I get a solution, in case it helps anyone.
Sx.
October 14, 2014 at 12:28 am #66062adminKeymasterI don’t see any slider on your site at the moment. Which page should I go to so I can see the slider?
October 14, 2014 at 1:03 am #66063futuremakersMemberHi,
I’ve actually turned the slider off to narrow down the problem – if you look at [http://st.rasaru.com/], you’ll see that below the newsletter sign-up area in the top image area, a shortcode for the revolution slider appears below. That should be appearing on the right hand side of the newsletter thing as it’s columns. For some reason, when I turn eMember on, it breaks these columns, and I think that this is the root of my troubles!
I have a suspicion that this is a theme issue, so not to worry – let me follow up with the theme folks and see if they can provide any insights.
Best as always,
Suzanne
October 14, 2014 at 11:26 am #66064futuremakersMemberHello,
This is just a quick update. It turns out that this is some very odd issue with the Avada child theme – something to do with it not picking up CSS etc. Just in case this helps anyone, there is a detailed breakdown on how I resolved this on the Avada forum.
Thanks so much for your help!
October 14, 2014 at 10:51 pm #66065adminKeymasterThank you for the update.
