    June 29, 2011 at 11:00 pm in reply to: Customers forgetting to press the UPDATE Shipping Options button #30720

    The default shipping is the one that is applied to the cart via the products and the normal sipping option explained here:

    http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/ecommerce/how-the-shipping-cost-calculation-works-in-wordpress-estore-50

    The variation is used to apply a difference in that default amount that has already been applied. This is why the first shipping variation (default one) should not have any price difference. If a customer applies a different shipping variation then the cart will prompt them to hit the update button.

    I have a feeling that you used a price difference in the first shipping variation. Can you please post a link to your products page?

    Will it work for you if the customer could not change the quantity in the shopping cart?

    Another approach is to use product variations for this. See the example in the following post:

    Most people like to show the “content is protected” message. You can however make it so it doesn’t show anything.

    If you are using the following section protection shortcode

    [emember_protected for=1-2-3]

    Then open wp_eMember1.php and search for the following:

    return wp_emember_format_message ('<b>'. EMEMBER_HIDDEN_CONTENT_MESSAGE. '<br/>'.EMEMBER_PLEASE.' <a href=" '.$account_upgrade_url .'" target=_blank>'.EMEMBER_RENEW.'</a> '.EMEMBER_YOUR_ACCOUNT.'</b>');

    Once you find it you can change it to the following:

    return "";

    You can also customize the message that gets displayed to the users:

    https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/how-to-customize-various-textmessages-displayed-by-the-plugin

    No, there is no shortcode for the “NOT” condition. This is something we would like to add in the future.

    I am not sure I understand what you mean by the following:

    I'd only want to move those people that hadn't already renewed to the 'Not Renewed', 'No Access' level

    Is this a yearly membership program?

    I am guessing this is a bundle product based on what you have entered in the “Digital Product URL” field. My question to you is, does the download for product 1 work?

    Please, also check the following two forum posts and go through the checklist:

    The “Login” link is not a hardcoded link to your login page all the time. The plugin is capable of understanding if the login link is being clicked from an individual post or page. In that case it lets the user login right there so they can stay on the same aricle/page after they login (this ofcourse only works like this if you do not use the “Enable After login Redirection” feature).

    WP eStore won’t send the digital product until the funds have cleared (this is to protect you from scammers). When the fund clears PayPal will notify eStore and it will email the products. However, if you trust the customer then you can go to the “Admin Functions” menu and generate a download link and manually send it out to the customer.

    This page should explain more:

    https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/wp-estore-and-paypal-profile-settings

    In summary, when you enable IPN on your PayPal account you can specify any URL you like (example: your home page), eStore will override the value at transaction time.

    The FTP client will have the directory path (remote site) to where you are uploading the files. For example it may look like the following:

    /public_html/wp-content/uploads

    You need to replace everything before the “wp-content” with your domain name which gives you URL to that directory:

    [http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wp-content/uploads]

    Now just add the name of the file to the above and you have the full URL. For example, if my uploaded image name is “image1.jpg” then it should look like the following:

    [http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wp-content/uploads/image1.jpg]

    We just need to troubleshoot this and see which step you missed. Once we find it out and fix that it will automatically start to work.

    1. Please post a link to the URL of your “Thank You” page.

    2. Have you correctly enabled PDT on your PayPal account so your customer’s get automatically redirected to your “Thank You” page after a transaction? Did you test a transaction yourself to verify this?

    After you upload it to the media uploader, click edit for that image. Then look at the File URL field. You can select everything in the File URL field (this is the full URL of the image) then copy and paste that.

    Update: we now have an option to set a fixed expiry date in the membership level.

    WP eMember doesn’t have an option to set a fixed expiry date due to how online membership works. What you can do is make a membership level with the “No Expiry or Until Cancelled” subscription option then on the 30th of April apply an “Auto Upgrade” that upgrades all members from this level to another level which doesn’t have access to any content.

    So for example, you have a membership level called “Premium” and everybody is joining this level. On the 30th of April you create another membership level that has NO access to any protected content. Then you create an “Auto Upgrade” rule that changes everyone in the “premium” level to “No Access” level. If you set the days to “1” it will execute it on that day. This has the same effect of everyone’s membership level expiring on that fixed date regardless of when they joined.
