I was testing a manual payment on my website which went through just fine, received the confirmation email, and then strangely received a “your account has been upgraded” email, and then received a message on a black screen “No Membership Level found for the user.”
I am using this site for membership and just added products for sale.
I no longer have access to the dashboard on the website which is a problem. help?

Assuming this resulted from WP eMember (other plugin can be in play here too)… it can only happen if the following are true:
1) You are using the “WordPress Integration feature”
2) You have a membership level where the WP Role is not “admin”
3) You then import or create an admin user into this membership level where you have set the role to be lower than “admin”.
Can you see the issue? You are basically telling eMember to lower the WP Role for this user to something other than “admin” and eMember is doing that.
When you add a user into a particular membership level, the plugin will update the role of that user to reflect whatever you have specified in that membership level’s “WordPress Role” field.
If you are using the “WordPress Integration” feature then when importing the admin user it is a good idea to create a separate membership level with all access and admin role then import the WordPress admin account to that membership level.
