Tagged: minimum quantity
I have a situation where the same product is being sold in several quantities, such as a person can order 1-99 for .99 each, 100-199 for .89 each, 200-299 for .79 each and so on.
I’ve created 3 separate items for each of the above examples, so the price will show up appropriately; however, there is nothing to stop the shopper from ordering a quantity of 50 when they click on the price for the 200-299 and changing the quantity, as the quantity isn’t filled in for them and they can type in any quantity.
If there was a minimum order number for each item, that would do the trick, but I’m not seeing that anywhere. Do you have a work-around for this type of situation? I’m not a coder, but can copy & paste pretty well. :o) Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
Will it work for you if the customer could not change the quantity in the shopping cart?
Another approach is to use product variations for this. See the example in the following post:
