MemberHi
I’m doing a site for an organisation where all subscriptions finish on April 30 – regardless of when people join. Is it possible to set the expiration date?
Thanks

ParticipantUpdate: we now have an option to set a fixed expiry date in the membership level.
WP eMember doesn’t have an option to set a fixed expiry date due to how online membership works. What you can do is make a membership level with the “No Expiry or Until Cancelled” subscription option then on the 30th of April apply an “Auto Upgrade” that upgrades all members from this level to another level which doesn’t have access to any content.
So for example, you have a membership level called “Premium” and everybody is joining this level. On the 30th of April you create another membership level that has NO access to any protected content. Then you create an “Auto Upgrade” rule that changes everyone in the “premium” level to “No Access” level. If you set the days to “1” it will execute it on that day. This has the same effect of everyone’s membership level expiring on that fixed date regardless of when they joined.

MemberThanks. I’d only want to move those people that hadn’t already renewed to the ‘Not Renewed’, ‘No Access’ level. Can I manually select those people and perform a bulk action?

ParticipantI am not sure I understand what you mean by the following:
I'd only want to move those people that hadn't already renewed to the 'Not Renewed', 'No Access' level
Is this a yearly membership program?

MemberYes. And their membership runs from 1 May to 30 April.

ParticipantThis shouldn’t be too hard then. You can have anther membership level which is for the next year. This membership level has the same permission as the current years level. Everyone who renews will go into that level. This way on the 30th of April everyone left in this years level can be upgraded to the “no access” level safely.

MemberThis sounds similar to what I need. To make certain that I understand:
*I would create a replacement subscription button for the new member year and place that on the membership registration page, yes?
*Following the expiration date, run the downgrade add on to change expired memberships to free?
Sounds simple
