1) What value are you using in the advanced variable of this button? QUESTION: Where do I find “Advanced Variable?”
2)Level ID of “CR News Reports Free 30-Day Trial” ANSWER: 5
3) Post a link to the page where you have this payment button. ANSWER: Go to this URL… [http://news.channeledreadings.com/cr-news-reports-join-us/] (be sure to scroll all the way down to see everything)
May 28, 2014 at 4:15 pm in reply to: 1-month paid memberships register as 30-day free trial membership #63120Rays Bone FormulaMemberMy problem is not with the way the free trial is working.
The functionality problem that is not working is that no matter what paid membership level the customer buys and pays for through PayPal – when they get their email to complete registration
The URL it directs them to has 4 fields. The last field “MEMBERSHIP” is already populated with the 30-day free trial, not the level they just paid for. Go here to see this URL: [http://news.channeledreadings.com/cr-news-reports-registration/?member_id=198&code=82500a21ec1704b82113c8ca192a25cd]
How do I fix this? By the way, I also went to PayPal to be sure the subscription buttons were configured properly and they are. We are not using the e-store on any of these recurring subscriptions, we are only using PayPal’s subscription buttons.

This 1-month paid membership is registering them as a 30-day free trial instead of the a 1-month membership that continues to remain active.

April 15, 2013 at 10:29 pm in reply to: Email:The email address you are using is already taken! #55123Rays Bone FormulaMemberThanks Peter. I have no way to test the e-Member on my end, as I have tested with all my email addresses. Therefore, I will take your word for it that it is working correctly, as well as the fact that several people signed up for the 30 Day Free Trial over the past few days successfully.
Taking your “unrelated matter” into consideration… I am concerned that I may mess something up in attempting to do this. Do you work as an independent contractor and if so would you be willing to help me with issues like this and others as they occur? If so, please let me know how you work, what you charge and any thing else. Thanks, Linda

January 28, 2013 at 3:15 am in reply to: Affiliate ID already exists, please choose different Affiliate ID! #47072Rays Bone FormulaMemberHi… We looked through all the options on the Settings for WP Affiliate and there doesn’t appear to be a box to click to require the new Affiliate to get an email that tells them to “confirm”… so that’s why we probably didn’t get one. Sorry for any confusion and thanks for your help on this.

January 25, 2013 at 10:32 pm in reply to: Affiliate ID already exists, please choose different Affiliate ID! #47070Rays Bone FormulaMemberThanks for your help…it appears to be working as I was immediately sent to a “Thank You” page and directed to login. I also received an email from the system that gave me my Affiliate ID and password and a link to follow to login.
Should I have gotten another email from our service provider to “confirm” in order to get on AWeber’s mailing list so we have permission to send out announcements to our Affiliates?
I did not get an email from AWeber…when you tested it, did you get an email to “confirm” your list sign-up?

January 24, 2013 at 5:48 am in reply to: Affiliate ID already exists, please choose different Affiliate ID! #47066Rays Bone FormulaMemberWe are having the same problem…new Affiliate signs up, gets message that Affiliate ID already exists and gets caught in a loop signing up again and again getting the same message over and over. However, if they check their email, everything went through perfectly each and every time they signed up…they got a “Thank you for registering with us…etc.” and it shows them their Affiliate ID and Password. And, they get a second email from AWeber that says “Attention Affiliates, Confirm by visiting the link below.”
So, it’s working like it’s supposed to, but the message “Affiliate ID already taken” has to stop showing up.
Here is a link to our Affiliate Program New Affiliate sign up to test it…

October 7, 2012 at 7:00 pm in reply to: eStore – Shipping Variations add Shipping Cost to Digital Products #49408Rays Bone FormulaMemberHi and thanks for your response… it appears you and I have different types of PayPal accounts? We have u.S. Merchant acct. Under “My Profile” there is no choice at all labeled “My Selling Tools” and therefore, no choice marked “Shipping Calculations.”
In our Profile section, we do have a category labeled “Hosted Payment Settings” and under that category there is a section labeled “Shipping Calculator.” When you click on this option, it only shows you the shipping schemes you’ve already set up – for us it is one for US/Domestic and the other is International.
There is no choice on that page that says: “Click here to allow transaction-based postage values to override the profile postage settings listed above.”
Apparently, this is the elusive checkbox that nobody at PayPal we’ve spoken with can find and neither can we!
If somebody knows where this is on a Merchant acct, please let us know.
Thanks….
