QUESTION 1: I am testing our Membership sign-up for the: CR News ReportsĀ© 30-Day FREE Trial. Once signing up I received the page that told me to go to my email to compete registration. I signed up with the following credentials:
Email address: [linda@channeledreadings.com]
First Name: Linda
Last Name: Holley
After clicking on the link in the email I received that the e-member system sent me that directed me to the page to complete the registration – selecting my Username: linda_holley & Password: action … I received the following rejection…
Email:The email address you are using is already taken!
Please choose a different email address. .
Please choose your username and password below to complete the registration.
QUESTION 2: Why did it send me the email to complete the registration if it was already taken?
Our WordPress Admin URL: [http://www.channeledreadings.com/CRNews/wp-login.php]
Our WordPress login credientials are:
Username: [deleted]
Password: [deleted]

I was just able to signup for the 30 Day Free trial level as a test user with no issues.
Perhaps you already had a membership account in the system using that particular email address?
On an unrelated matter, I wanted to point out that you have not specified a redirect page where you want to send people after they login for the 30day free trial memebrship. You can enable the redirect after login feature from the settings menu. Then you can either specify a value in the “Redirect After Login” field in your 30day free trial membership config or in the “After Login Page (Optional)” field of the eMember settings page.

Therefore, I will take your word for it that it is working correctly, as well as the fact that several people signed up for the 30 Day Free Trial over the past few days successfully.
Taking your “unrelated matter” into consideration… I am concerned that I may mess something up in attempting to do this. Do you work as an independent contractor and if so would you be willing to help me with issues like this and others as they occur? If so, please let me know how you work, what you charge and any thing else. Thanks, Linda
