June 21, 2013 at 6:55 pm in reply to: eStore – Different return URL from the settings page for Donate Button #56241onerock.scottSpectator
I am using the following shortcode.
[wp_eStore_donate id=7]
onerock.scottSpectatorHere is the additional debug info that you were looking for.
Executing DB update. Debug data: active|5|2013-02-01
It appears that it is attempting to update everything correctly, so I looked at the corresponding membership level 5 in WP-eMember. I found that when the “edit” button was clicked nothing would happen. Other “edit” buttons associated with other membership levels the button works. I have re-installed a fresh copy of WP-eMember and now the edit button works correctly. I will wait for another incident to occur to see if the error is fixed.
Thanks Scott
onerock.scottSpectatorI have updated to the plugin sent to me with upgraded debug. Currently waiting on a membership to be renewed. I will update with debug logs as soon as one occurs. What email address should I use to send the logs after I post the incident here? I assume there will be sensitive information that can’t be posted here. thanks again for your help in this matter. Scott
onerock.scottSpectatorIt did update to the correct date, 01/22/2013. The only edit that I had to make was changing the expired to active.
onerock.scottSpectatorI am experiencing a similar issue and started following this post to resolve the issue. My members pay for a specific term and at the end of the term the account expires. The member can log into the expired account and purchase a new membership term. I am seeing everything in eMember update correctly except for changing expired to active. I was able to manually change the expired account to active. As listed above, I have loaded a fresh copy of WP eStore, prior to this event. I have enabled the debug log after this event, but there was some information in the log from the transaction that had an issue. I don’t know if that will help. I have masked the real users email addresses. The email address bbb was the same in both cases. I can offer the unedited log if desired. The eMember level 6 is a one month subscription. Thanks in advance for your help in troubleshooting this issue.

September 23, 2012 at 12:59 pm in reply to: eMember – Hardening WordPress WP-Content with .htaccess #49559onerock.scottSpectatorOK,thanks. I have the “Options All -Indexes” in my main htaccess file in the www folder, will this suffice? I think I may be reading too much into this whole hardening WP thing.
I do not have any digital downloadable content.
onerock.scottSpectatorSeptember 22, 2012 at 5:52 pm in reply to: eMember – Hardening WordPress WP-Content with .htaccess #49557onerock.scottSpectatorI have the standard .htaccess file in the root www directory. I was attempting to secure the wp-content directory with its own .htaccess file. I can certainly add .htaccess to the individual folders and leave the eMember/eStore folders unrestricted. to outside access.
onerock.scottSpectatorI have eMember and W3TC working successfully together. Something I noticed recently is that when you are logged into eMember the page loading speed slows way down. Once you log out, the page load speed returns to normal.
I am assuming that this is due to ap_id, cart_in_use, eMember_in_use in the rejected cookies.
Is this normal behavior or do I have something misconfigured?
Thanks in advance, Scott
onerock.scottSpectatorI have responded to your request. Thanks
onerock.scottSpectatorI have attempted the instructions given except for the upgrade portion as I was not upgrading.
1)deactivated and deleted the plugin.
2)re-installed same version of plugin that I was currently at, version 8.01 of eMember.
This has not corrected my issue and the problem continues.
I also do recall seeing any of the causes listed in the FAQ “under the hood” of my site. Just a side note.
Scott
onerock.scottSpectatorNo I have not updated the eMember Plugin recently, however I will attempt to instructions you have provided.
August 17, 2012 at 12:22 am in reply to: Help with security issues from debug log made public #48419onerock.scottSpectatorThere is one of these links for each user that registered in the eMember debug log.

It seems to be linked to Mailchimp if you paste it into a web browser. I would like to verify what this does and how to disable it, if necessary.
onerock.scottSpectatorThe logs were only enabled for a short time while troubleshooting a supposed mailchimp issue. Yes, I do know how the got there and lessons were learned. How do you disable the links that are in the logs? If clicked, it appears that an email is sent.
August 14, 2012 at 9:23 pm in reply to: eMember – registration emails appear to not be sent via Mailchimp #47787onerock.scottSpectatorI have verified that the users are getting the emails. I have reworded my Thank You page for very explicit instructions stating that that they will not be able to log in without completing registration and the email may be in junk mail. Thanks and sorry for opening a none issue ticket.
