I am using eMember along with eStore at [http://InternetMentorship.com] One of my members is on a monthly plan. Her monthly payment went through PayPal, but she shows as expired and can’t login.
eMember version 8.3.0
eStore version 6.6.3
Wordpress 3.4.2
Can you help me troubleshoot this?
Thanks,
November 3, 2012 at 5:21 am #50978adminKeymasterFirst, manually edit this member’s profile and set the “subscription start” date to todays date then set the account status to active. This will give this member access.
Next, load a fresh copy of eStore:
https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/re-install-or-load-a-fresh-build-of-the-plugins
Then enable debug in the eStore plugin. and share the content of the “subscription_handle_debug.log” file when a recurring payment is processed. This way I will be able to see what is happening with the recurring payment.
What do you have in the “Subscription Duration” field of this membership level in question?
January 23, 2013 at 12:50 am #50979onerock.scottSpectatorI am experiencing a similar issue and started following this post to resolve the issue. My members pay for a specific term and at the end of the term the account expires. The member can log into the expired account and purchase a new membership term. I am seeing everything in eMember update correctly except for changing expired to active. I was able to manually change the expired account to active. As listed above, I have loaded a fresh copy of WP eStore, prior to this event. I have enabled the debug log after this event, but there was some information in the log from the transaction that had an issue. I don’t know if that will help. I have masked the real users email addresses. The email address bbb was the same in both cases. I can offer the unedited log if desired. The eMember level 6 is a one month subscription. Thanks in advance for your help in troubleshooting this issue.

January 23, 2013 at 11:01 pm #50980adminKeymasterThank you for the debug. It looks like everything was executed successfully. I think for some reason the database update failed. Can you please edit the profile of member ID 23 from your dashboard and check what the value of the “Subscription Start” date? Did that value get updated to 01/22/2013?
January 23, 2013 at 11:16 pm #50981onerock.scottSpectatorIt did update to the correct date, 01/22/2013. The only edit that I had to make was changing the expired to active.
January 24, 2013 at 5:50 am #50982adminKeymasterOkay that means the database update did work correctly. I am going to need a little more debug to troubleshoot this. I have sent you an email for this.
January 24, 2013 at 3:48 pm #50983onerock.scottSpectatorI have updated to the plugin sent to me with upgraded debug. Currently waiting on a membership to be renewed. I will update with debug logs as soon as one occurs. What email address should I use to send the logs after I post the incident here? I assume there will be sensitive information that can’t be posted here. thanks again for your help in this matter. Scott
January 25, 2013 at 6:29 am #50984adminKeymasterSimply reply to the same email that I sent you. Attach any necessary debug file with that email.
February 1, 2013 at 11:44 pm #50985onerock.scottSpectatorHere is the additional debug info that you were looking for.
Executing DB update. Debug data: active|5|2013-02-01
It appears that it is attempting to update everything correctly, so I looked at the corresponding membership level 5 in WP-eMember. I found that when the “edit” button was clicked nothing would happen. Other “edit” buttons associated with other membership levels the button works. I have re-installed a fresh copy of WP-eMember and now the edit button works correctly. I will wait for another incident to occur to see if the error is fixed.
Thanks Scott
