Thank you! So strange that I couldn’t find that, even searching on “affiliate email tags”.
It doesn’t look like product name is on that list; if I have numerous products how can the affiliate know which product they’ve earned a commission on? Does {item_reference} have anything to do with that?
March 5, 2014 at 3:43 am in reply to: Is it possible to turn off email notification from eStore on membership items? #19108nomadamyMemberI’m sorry to hear that! That is a feature I would love to see added one day.
March 4, 2014 at 5:08 am in reply to: Is it possible to turn off email notification from eStore on membership items? #19106nomadamyMemberIs it possible to do something like the solution above (uncheck the “Send Emails to Buyer After Purchase” field which should stop the #1 email that gets sent from eStore) BUT only for certain products? That email isn’t necessary for my products that don’t have download links, but some products do have download links so I can’t turn it off for everything across the board.
nomadamyMemberOK, that makes sense, just wanted to make sure. I’ll do some more testing with a higher price point.
Thanks!
nomadamyMemberThis is exactly what I’m struggling with; I have the final welcome email turned off in MailChimp but after a person is added to the list via an eMember free download, the welcome email is still sent.
That’s great that this has been fixed, but I don’t see where the particular setting is to change this. I’m using Version v6.6.7; do I need to update to have this option?
Thanks!
nomadamyMemberI got your email and filled out the form; let me know what you figure out. Thanks!
Update: This should be fixed now.
nomadamyMemberThis is great, but it doesn’t seem to be working properly for me. I protected a forum, and when I’m logged in at a level that should not be able to access that forum, not only can I see the forum, I can add a new topic! Then, when I click submit and the topic loads, it says “you don’t have permission to view this content”. It seems like this message should appear much earlier in the process, or that the forum shouldn’t even appear in the list of forums available (I set up three, two of which this level can access, one it can’t).
Is it possible to hide the forum from the list entirely if it is not accessible to a membership level, or a way to prevent someone from entering a new topic in a forum they don’t have permission to access? Is there some other kind of protection I need to enable for this to work? Thanks!
January 30, 2013 at 5:06 pm in reply to: Getting AWeber notification failure email, but I'm using MailChimp! #53419nomadamyMemberOK, thanks, that fixed it. That wasn’t clear to me; I thought that “use MailChimp Autoresponder service” meant that I wanted MailChimp to send out an autoresponder.
January 29, 2013 at 2:10 pm in reply to: Getting AWeber notification failure email, but I'm using MailChimp! #53417nomadamyMemberNo, I don’t have that checked, because I didn’t want to use it. I just want people to get added to the MC list and then get the email from eStore. Is that possible?
Under eStore Settings -> Autoresponder Settings -> MailChimp Settings I just have the API key and the “disable double opt-in” checked, and then I have the list name on the product’s autoresponder settings.
I’m using version 6.6.7
Thanks!
nomadamyMemberThanks for your response. No one else has access to my PayPal account, and I haven’t done anything with the IPN except follow eStore documentation to get it to work. A mystery, I guess.
The link above doesn’t seem to have any documentation about Mailchimp and eStore; is this now available somewhere else? I do want to make sure I have everything set up correctly.
Thanks!
May 19, 2012 at 8:45 pm in reply to: eStore – no customer record, no sales record, no add to Mailchimp after purchase #45140nomadamyMemberAha! Yes, it was the IPN setting. Once I found that I saw that it was turned on – but disabled. All my test purchases from the past few days were listed in the history but showing that the notification was disabled. I enabled the IPN and did another test transaction, and everything’s working perfectly.
Thanks!
Does this also solve the mystery of why all my log files were empty, or is that a separate issue?
May 17, 2012 at 2:46 pm in reply to: eStore – no customer record, no sales record, no add to Mailchimp after purchase #45138nomadamyMemberThanks! I went through that whole checklist yesterday before I posted and my log files are still empty.
I don’t have a PayPal sandbox, but I also reviewed the list of how PayPal options are supposed to be set up, and I can’t figure out where to go in my PayPal account to check the IPN settings. (I have a business account, is that the same as a merchant account?)
