Wow…
I wish this information were advised or available prior to the broadcast. My company is catching heat because of this valuable piece of information.
moereeseMemberOMG!!
So I guess this is why short code is better…
eyeee carumba!!!… and unfortunately short code did not work with my product.
I will share my server results momentarily on a new post.
moereeseMemberAhhh …. interesting… so it appears that by default the link was set to 24 hours.
So anybody who clicked that link 24 hours or more before its 3pm broadcast their link expired.
So lets say as a viewer you purchased on the day of the event. At or about 3pm you click on the link to discover no PPV but pre-recorded content. You close down your browser, and try again. Would your link expire?
moereeseMemberSettings for link expiration?? where is this?
I was not aware of this setting.
moereeseMemberThanks wzp!
moereeseMemberThanks!
moereeseMembernevermind… I finally found it!
moereeseMemberThanks for the explanation.
Where is this “Use Manual Payment Option”?? I’ve searched all over for this option even before I posted this question.
September 10, 2011 at 4:33 am in reply to: The major difference between old & new method selling PPV #36407moereeseMemberThanks for that clarification.
I was just having such an easier time with the old method because for whatever reason that shortcode was allowing me to embed the media player. As you remember would neber appear on the page however we were able to see ‘TEXT’.
But I see the major advantage from that explanation. After our pre-sale tickets I will contact my server company to give an idea of #’s so that we can meet our server demands. At this point we had no other choice but use the old method.
September 7, 2011 at 2:58 am in reply to: HELP!! Using WordPress Permalinks As Digital Products NEW METHOD PPV #36330moereeseMemberI do appreciate any assistance as this is an urgent issue. This PPV is to take place on Sat Sept 17th and really requires this to work.
I initially was using the old method and it was so much easier but then the problems was that we dont have a PREMIUM package set-up at Livestream yet so we cant remove the embed code or link back to Livestream channel. So anybody who purchases an advanced ticket will see that embed code & we need to start our requested ticket sales now.
September 7, 2011 at 2:33 am in reply to: HELP!! Using WordPress Permalinks As Digital Products NEW METHOD PPV #36328moereeseMemberThe reason why you saw that was because I was testing and experimenting and I removed the the line:
[wp_eStore_APR expiry=0 status=unexpired].
I the enclosed it back & now no embedded player can be seen.
I am using version 5.9.2
September 7, 2011 at 1:16 am in reply to: HELP!! Using WordPress Permalinks As Digital Products NEW METHOD PPV #36326moereeseMemberIt seems that the Livestream player cannot be viewed while placed inside that short code.
