I see. So I guess as long as I get the money and the eMember profile is set to active will that be ok? I don’t have to do anything about the old Unique Reference/Subscriber ID being the paypal id I deleted?
Hi, thanks for that info.
I cancelled the extra paypal subscription, and deleted the extra eStore profile. So now I have the correct paypal profile, the correct eStore profile but when I try to change the corresponding ‘Unique Reference/Subscriber ID’ in eMember it reverts back to the Unique Reference/Subscriber ID for the payment that I’ve deleted from paypal.
Hope that makes sense.
How do I get eMember to update the Unique Reference/Subscriber ID?
Shortcode didn’t work. So I tried grabbing the script off of the page source. I pasted this into the popup. It’s sort of a bit clunky though, I think it might not be the best thing to do. Does anyone have any idea if it will work properly?
Thanks,
Mike

I mean the boxes where a user can register for an account.
This:

LAST NAME:
EMAIL:

I’d like to be able to take the code that makes those boxes and put it in my own popup. Unless I can put shortcode into the popup?
Some people are able to reset via that, some people don’t receive the email. [not in spam]
I had issues with people not receiving the setup emails before so I installed this plugin [http://coffee2code.com/wp-plugins/configure-smtp/], that was ages ago though.
1. thanks
2. The users can’t reset their password, so I have to reset it, then they can login and change it, etc. I didn’t import from wp, I had emember first, then installed simple:press so I had to create wp users to get that working. I’m on emember 8.8.9
I have a couple of questions:
1. When a user cancels, [and they have a wp user account] can they login via wp-login.php? Or does eMember unsubscribe them from wp also?
2. After the installation of simple:press and the linking of wp user and emember, all the emember passwords have been reset. And the reset password function doesn’t seem to be working for anyone. Do I have to reset all their passwords, or have they all been reset to a default password?
Thanks,
Mike
Thanks, that’s all sorted.
Hi, I’ve done that, so new users should be integrated, but I have around 80 members that are in eMember but are not wordpress users.
Do I need to make them wordpress users, and how do i do that?
Thanks!
Thank You.
Mike
Do you have a suggestion for where to host the zip file? On site, or dropbox, or ?
Thanks
I am using eStore & eMember.
If the download was 30 mb, what would be the easiest way to host a zip file? [For around 10 downloads per month]
Thanks so much for you help.
M
I’ll do that, thanks.
I’m not using the “Logout the Member After XX Minute” option. Should I use that?
He’s suggesting ‘more than 24hrs’.

Thanks for your help!

The users do not have user names assigned. Do I need to create usernames for them?
I should mention there are 13 subscribers on recurring monthly billing. The rest signed up for a year only, so for them they aren’t on a recurring cycle. I didn’t set the paypal button to auto renew after a year. Does that make a difference?
I think asking people to renew the subscription [if they want] for the people who signed up for a year is fine. Is it possible to just create usernames and import/add them to emember?
I have a few monthly subscribers too. I could maybe ask them to resubscribe if needs be.
