April 7, 2011 at 2:39 pm in reply to: How do you create free shipping for downloadable products? #27959markluchauerMember
I think I finally figured out a solution.
In WP-Estore settings make sure Paypal Profile Based Shipping is checked and being used.
Then, go to Paypal and create two separate shipping methods.
1.Quantity based shipping.
2. Weight based shipping that is FREE.
For tangible products, create them without a weight in the product description.
For downloadable products, create them with a weight in the product description.
Hope this works..I’m testing it now
markluchauerMemberHey, I found out that it is an issue with the WordPress Theme. When I change my wordpress theme to the default theme, or to another theme that I have downloaded, it works like a charm.
One solution is to find a theme that you like that works with the multiple images in the lightbox.
markluchauerMemberI also noticed that on the tipsandtricks products page, when you click on a product, the lightbox pops up. On your lightbox, it shows picture 1 of 7 for example…however, there is no “next” arrow to scroll through the pictures. I noticed on your site as well, that when you click an image, the lightbox pops up and when you click the image in the lightbox, it scrolls to the next image.
Would there be a way to have the lightbox popup show scroll arrows? I don’t think most people would know to click on the image to go to the next image.
Thanks for your help on both of these issues.
March 26, 2011 at 3:54 am in reply to: Does the "Email Address" sign up box need to be required? #30643markluchauerMemberEverything works great when I do the standalone version. I’m just going to stick with that and not mess with it.
Thanks for the great plugin

Even though I made “Paypal Email” required, an affiliate can still sign up without entering the paypal email address.
Thank you!
March 25, 2011 at 12:49 pm in reply to: Does the "Email Address" sign up box need to be required? #30639markluchauerMemberI changed the paypal email to be:
<input type=”text” name=”paypal_email” size=”20″ value=”<?php echo $_POST; ?>” class=”required”>
But, it’s still not required. I just signed up for a test account and didn’t put in the paypal email and it still created an account.
Here is what I have in the register_view:
<tr>
<td><b><?php echo AFF_EMAIL; ?>: * </b></td>
<td><b>
<input type=”text” name=”aemail” size=”20″ value=”<?php echo $_POST; ?>” class=”required”>
</b></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td><b><?php echo AFF_PAYPAL_EMAIL; ?>: * </b></td>
<td><b>
<input type=”text” name=”paypal_email” size=”20″ value=”<?php echo $_POST; ?>” class=”required”>
</b></td>
</tr>
March 24, 2011 at 12:26 pm in reply to: Affilate made a sale, but it's not showing up in admin panel or user panel? #30564markluchauerMemberAfter waiting about 8 hours, the “ipn_handle_debug.log” and the “eStore_post_payment_debug.log” were both populated with SUCCESS. I am also receiving post payment emails again AND the test sale from yesterday registered it as an affiliate sale.
So…I’m not quite sure what I did…but it seems everything is working now!
I think it is probably that I enabled the IPN in Paypal and then it just took some time before it worked.
Thank you so much!
March 24, 2011 at 3:35 am in reply to: Affilate made a sale, but it's not showing up in admin panel or user panel? #30562markluchauerMember1. I enabled the IPN feature in Paypal and put my main website in the URL field.
2. I did a test transaction with debug enabled.
3. Paypal sent out the emails, however, WP-Estore did not send out the post payment emails.
4. The past three test transactions went through via paypal and paypal sent a receipt email, but the sales are not showing up when I check the Estore Manage Customers.
5. WP Affiliate Platform did not register the last three test transactions either (I used my own test affiliate link)
Nothing is found in either the “ipn_handle_debug.log” or the “eStore_post_payment_debug.log”.
March 24, 2011 at 2:18 am in reply to: Affilate made a sale, but it's not showing up in admin panel or user panel? #30560markluchauerMember1. I updated both the WP-Estore and the Affiliate Platform.
2. I checked the debug box and made a purchase using one of my affiliates links.
3. I ordered an item for $6.00 with $2.99 shipping.
4. Two emails were sent out from Paypal. One email to the buyer from paypal and one email to me from paypal.
5. I did not receive any post payment emails from WP-Estore and the buyer did not receive any post payment email either.
6. All of the debug files are blank.
7. The affiliate did not get credit for the sale.
8. In the WP-Affiliate, it did not record the sale for the affiliate.
Everything was working great with WP-Estore before I installed WP Affiliate Platform. Then, I installed WP Affiliate Platform and I got an email from my WP-Estore the next day saying that “WP eStore – Payment Verification Failed!” So, I went into Paypal and enabled the IPN and put in my website for the URL. I tried the advice you gave above and got the same results. So, I then went back to Paypal and disabled the IPN feature, as it was before and got the same results as stated above.
Q1: Why is it that post payment emails are no longer being sent out from WP-Estore?
Q2: Why aren’t sales being tracked for my affiliate?
Q3: Why aren’t sales being tracked in my admin panel for WP Affiliate?
Sorry for all the questions…Thank you so much for your support.
March 23, 2011 at 1:50 pm in reply to: Affilate made a sale, but it's not showing up in admin panel or user panel? #30558markluchauerMemberThe actual affiliate ID of the affiliate in question is: “lessondepot”. Their affiliate link is: [http://shop.havefunteaching.com?ap_id=lessondepot]
I am using WP-Estore with the Affiliate Platform with onsite view option.
I did an affiliate sale test with this affiliate with the debug option enabled. Here is the report for the “eStore_post_payment_debug.log”

When I log into the admin account, it shows the following information:
Total Clicks : 40
Number of Sales : 0
Total Sales Amount : 6 USD
Total Commission : 0.00 USD
When I log into my affiliate’s seller account page, it shows the following information:
Total Clicks : 34
Number of Sales : 0
Total Sales Amount : 6 USD
Total Commission Earned : 0.00 USD
Commission Level : 20 %
(Note: The total clicks is different because I did some sample ones under my own test affiliate account)
Thanks for your help
markluchauerMemberHere is a link to the “Sign Up” page where the Check Availability button is not working.

*I tried on Chrome and Firefox.
*I tried activating the default wordpress template
*I’m not using any of the “not so nice” plugins.
Thanks
March 22, 2011 at 2:20 am in reply to: How to delete the "FAX" box from the edit profile menu for an affiliate? #30490markluchauerMemberI am using Option 2, on page display using a shortcode.
markluchauerMemberHello again,
I just wanted to ask again to see if there is any way to get around this.
On my website, I offer 5 different CD’s. I would like the customer to be able to pick their choice of 4 or 5 different cds. Is there a tweak or code change that could allow me to have 5 different product variations?
Here is my shop. I have Pick 2 and Pick 3, but I would also like to have Pick 4 and Pick 5.

Thank you so much for your time and consideration!
markluchauerMemberI just realized that it sorts the banners alphabetically. I am still wondering if there is a way to sort these by “most used” or “most popular” or sort by ID #.
I guess I could just put the number 1, 2, 3 etc. in the title of the banner.
markluchauerMemberThank you so much for the clarification on this! I absolutely love your WP-Estore plugin and will be getting your Affiliate Platform as well. You are very good with customer service as well and I very much appreciate that!
