I checked a Paypal receipt for a sale that showed in the details section “Custom: ap_id=affiliate”. So, I know that the sale was referred by one of my affiliates.
However, this sale did not register as a sale in the admin panel of WP Affiliate and it did not register as a sale for the user as well.
The admin stats overview is showing total clicks, but zero sales.
Thanks for your help
March 23, 2011 at 3:38 am #30557amin007ParticipantIs “affiliate” the actual affiliate ID of the affiliate in question? Is that value the same as it shows in the “Manage Affiliates” menu?
I am guessing you are using eStore with the affiliate plugin? Please do an affiliate sale test with debug option enabled and it will reveal what is going on. This page explains more on the debug option:
https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/how-and-when-to-enable-debug-and-what-does-it-do
March 23, 2011 at 1:50 pm #30558markluchauerMemberThe actual affiliate ID of the affiliate in question is: “lessondepot”. Their affiliate link is: [http://shop.havefunteaching.com?ap_id=lessondepot]
I am using WP-Estore with the Affiliate Platform with onsite view option.
I did an affiliate sale test with this affiliate with the debug option enabled. Here is the report for the “eStore_post_payment_debug.log”

When I log into the admin account, it shows the following information:
Total Clicks : 40
Number of Sales : 0
Total Sales Amount : 6 USD
Total Commission : 0.00 USD
When I log into my affiliate’s seller account page, it shows the following information:
Total Clicks : 34
Number of Sales : 0
Total Sales Amount : 6 USD
Total Commission Earned : 0.00 USD
Commission Level : 20 %
(Note: The total clicks is different because I did some sample ones under my own test affiliate account)
Thanks for your help
March 24, 2011 at 12:05 am #30559amin007ParticipantThank you. The integration seems to be working. The sale amount is too low though (as you can see 20% of 0.01 is resulting in a $0 commission. So I would recommend using a $0.05 as your sale price. Its still low but enough to where the commission amount will be something like $0.01.
Also, please get a new build of eStore and the affiliate plugin and update it:
https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/re-install-or-load-a-fresh-build-of-the-plugins
The database tables columns might be out of sync (this can happen if you update the plugin and forget to deactivate and reactivate or you have made changes to the plugin that might affect the database stuff).
After the update perform another test run and let me know what you see.
March 24, 2011 at 2:18 am #30560markluchauerMember1. I updated both the WP-Estore and the Affiliate Platform.
2. I checked the debug box and made a purchase using one of my affiliates links.
3. I ordered an item for $6.00 with $2.99 shipping.
4. Two emails were sent out from Paypal. One email to the buyer from paypal and one email to me from paypal.
5. I did not receive any post payment emails from WP-Estore and the buyer did not receive any post payment email either.
6. All of the debug files are blank.
7. The affiliate did not get credit for the sale.
8. In the WP-Affiliate, it did not record the sale for the affiliate.
Everything was working great with WP-Estore before I installed WP Affiliate Platform. Then, I installed WP Affiliate Platform and I got an email from my WP-Estore the next day saying that “WP eStore – Payment Verification Failed!” So, I went into Paypal and enabled the IPN and put in my website for the URL. I tried the advice you gave above and got the same results. So, I then went back to Paypal and disabled the IPN feature, as it was before and got the same results as stated above.
Q1: Why is it that post payment emails are no longer being sent out from WP-Estore?
Q2: Why aren’t sales being tracked for my affiliate?
Q3: Why aren’t sales being tracked in my admin panel for WP Affiliate?
Sorry for all the questions…Thank you so much for your support.
March 24, 2011 at 2:59 am #30561amin007ParticipantPlease DO NOT disable the IPN feature in your PayPal account. By default it should be on (if you turned if off just enable it again please).
Forget anything that happened before (lets not make this complex). Make sure the IPN is enabled in your PayPal then do the test transaction with debug enabled and share the content of the following two files and I will have answers for you:
– ipn_handle_debug.log
– eStore_post_payment_debug.log
March 24, 2011 at 3:35 am #30562markluchauerMember1. I enabled the IPN feature in Paypal and put my main website in the URL field.
2. I did a test transaction with debug enabled.
3. Paypal sent out the emails, however, WP-Estore did not send out the post payment emails.
4. The past three test transactions went through via paypal and paypal sent a receipt email, but the sales are not showing up when I check the Estore Manage Customers.
5. WP Affiliate Platform did not register the last three test transactions either (I used my own test affiliate link)
Nothing is found in either the “ipn_handle_debug.log” or the “eStore_post_payment_debug.log”.
March 24, 2011 at 5:36 am #30563amin007ParticipantIf debug file is empty that means the PayPal notification is not reaching the plugin which is why nothing is happening after the payment. This post has a list of checklist that will help you identify the reason:
https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/what-to-do-if-the-debug-file-is-empty
March 24, 2011 at 12:26 pm #30564markluchauerMemberAfter waiting about 8 hours, the “ipn_handle_debug.log” and the “eStore_post_payment_debug.log” were both populated with SUCCESS. I am also receiving post payment emails again AND the test sale from yesterday registered it as an affiliate sale.
So…I’m not quite sure what I did…but it seems everything is working now!
I think it is probably that I enabled the IPN in Paypal and then it just took some time before it worked.
Thank you so much!
November 15, 2016 at 8:10 pm #30565Hi, I just buy this plugin, but i made few test and also, affiliate sale not showing in affiliate admin area. Do you got any tip’s for me please ?
Thank you
November 15, 2016 at 11:51 pm #30566adminKeymasterI need more info from you so I can help with the troubleshooting. Please answer the following questions:
1) A link to your landing page in question (where you have the payment button)
2) What are you using to handle the eCommerce/sale side of things (Plain PayPal button or eStore plugin or any other plugin?)
3) Which integration you are using (simply link to the integration documentation that you have followed from our site).
All the available pre-made integration options are listed on our documentation under the “Integration Options” section (simply tell us which one you are following):
http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wordpress-affiliate/
4) Enable debug by checking the enable debug field in the settings menu of the affiliate plugin so you can provide us some log data after a transaction.
